Update Fixed the Issue Can Now Create Notes with Ease

Delighted at the stance on Privacy. The first review was several years ago. The developer reached out and I was finally able to use the updated iNotepad version now on Big Sur. No more issues! I could save Notes and add text and images as in the screenshots. Original review: Open and tried to save a document & Got a Beachball!Running Catalina and just wanted something along the lines of the old Xpad app but this didn'teven let me try it.

iNotepad has most of the features of the OS X Text editor, classifies your notes into “folders”, and keeps you results on your Mac.Its features include:- The notes are kept the iNotepad database on your mac so that you can back your notes up.- Most of the features of the OS X editor including fonts, lists, and the like.- Notes can be classified into “tabs” (folder) to group notes into subjects- Notes are in RTF format- Notes can be exported to: RTF, RTFD, HTML, Web Archive, Microsoft Word, Open XML, and Open Document- Notes are be imported from the same sources- Notes can be copied iCloud by exporting it to an iCloud folder. (I have a folder on the desktop that I share on the cloud where I can exchange files between Macs, iPads, and iPhone)

This app appears to have been released while still in early Beta. For one thing, the description says you can save notes with password protection. I have searched every option I can find in the app and on the developer’s web site and can find no option to password protect a note … and no option to purchase that function as an in-app purchase. The in-app help files also appear to be incomplete. Definitely not worth the price.

• New name — iNotepad is now WriteStudio. • Apple Intelligence Writing Tools — available directly in the toolbar, in both the main window and the single-page writing view. • Writer Bar — the single-page window now has a full formatting bar with font controls, text color picker, ruler, and Format menu. • Touch ID lock — protect your pages with Touch ID when reopening the app. • Clickable hashtags — tap a #hashtag in any page to filter by that tag instantly. • Share button — restored in the toolbar, with the standard macOS sharing menu. • Larger writing canvas — default window size increased to 1100×900 for a more comfortable writing experience. • Bigger pages list — page list text is now 14pt for easier reading. • Smarter search — recent searches are now visually separated from search modes in the search menu. • New sidebar icons — smart categories have clean, distinct SF Symbol icons. • “Page” throughout — the app now consistently uses “Page” instead of “Note.” • Stability fixes — more robust document saving and improved reliability with large libraries.
