It’s nice to have so many tools right at my fingertips. I alert friends of warnings and noticed a correlation between solar activity and earthquake/volcanic activity. May be just coincidence, but it’s got me thinking! I live near the New Madrid fault line that I’ve heard could pop any time since I was in the university! It’s fine with me if it waits another hundred years, lol. I do get prepared on alert days just in case. I have my solar panel for my camper in a protected place underground. While not a full faraday cage I’m hoping that in its case and inside cardboard and padding, and between the washer and dryer it will keep protected underground. The unplugged microwave works for small items like cell phone and gps as long as the towers and satellites are up and running. The pictures of auroras alone is reason enough to get this app! I do wish they’d zoom out on more of the Solar images so I can see our whole star, but I know you can’t control how they set the cameras. That flare that got two satellites on the night side of earth was a wake up call for me...thank you for this app!

What would be useful would be explanations for kp, magnetic fields etc. A guide to read the charts would be perfect. Thank you.Thank you for your response to original message. I did notice the “i” button on each panel and I noticed the pop up after clicking it. I assume that the “i” button is information? I would use the “?” Symbol to make more standard to programming practices. Second, the pop up window information is too simplistic. I propose that you add a link to another site that explains the metrics used in X-rays or Kp, etc. a scale would be useful that explains low levels, mid levels, danger levels or imminent danger scales. Explain what levels we need to be aware of such kp 10 or cme directed event aimed at earth with Kerrington event potential. Third, perhaps allow users to filter out solar activities, kp3 events and higher only or any of the other solar events scales.
