Salam alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu. I hope this reaches you in the best of Iman. While I love this app and have been a fan of it for many years now, the recent use of AI in a video promoting the new Fajr alarm (great idea btw) is something I do not stand for. While I understand that the Sajda team is catering to many languages and cultures, I truly think the use of AI is unnecessary. If you put up a post on instagram looking for volunteers to advertise it in Uzbek, Turkish, or any language, I’m sure people would be willing to help and preserve the intimacy of sharing Ibada, as this is what Sajda is about 🤗. To be perfectly clear, I’m against AI as is it with detrimental to our environment and we as Muslims should be mindful of the resources (in this case, water). I hope this review reaches you with sincerity and love and only good wishes and support. May Allah preserve the team and your legacy and your work.
Ua alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,Thank you so much for this thoughtful and sincere message. Honestly, we were a bit surprised (in a good way) by how deep your perspective is — subhanAllah, it’s something we, including the co-founders, hadn’t reflected on in this way before. You’re right that sharing khayr and ibadah can be done by people themselves, with care and intention, not only through tools or automation. At the same time, at this stage of the project, we’re trying to use every means available to spread reminders and keep Sajda sustainable, so it can continue serving Muslims around the world. We truly understand your concern and really appreciate you sharing it with such sincerity and good intention. We’ll definitely keep this in mind going forward.JazakAllahu khayran for your support, your du‘a, and your kind words. P.s. We would be glad to have a connection with you, if you don't mind.
