Just kidding! This is a brand new release, one that I should be able to maintain for the next decade (yes it's been that long already, crazy). There are a few missing features, but I figure it makes sense to get this out asap so you can at least use something today.
4.0.0 02/08/2023

3.5.1 12/08/2017
Added support for the new iPhone X
3.5.0 12/05/2017
So, when I updated the data to include 2018 I accidentally added a whole bunch of ports that have incomplete (or unreliable) data. You may have noticed this after viewing a port that shows an empty graph. These locations have now been removed from the app. Sorry about that.
Along with that, version 3.4 introduced:
- Data all the way to December 2018
- An updated iOS10 Today Widget
As always, thanks for using Tides NZ, if you like the app it would be fantastic if you leave a review (or send us feedback!) Also don't forget to tell you friends, family and pets to download it this summer!
3.4.2 01/25/2017
Well that last update didn't go quite as planned, let's try this one! This update fixes:
- The crash on launch a small percentage of you experienced (about 5%)
- The crash when you rotated your device
Along with that, the previous update brought:
- Data all the way to December 2018
- An updated iOS10 Today Widget
As always, thanks for using Tides NZ, if you like the app it would be fantastic if you leave a review (or send us feedback!) Also don't forget to tell you friends, family and pets to download it this summer!
3.4.1 01/20/2017
Hope you all had a great start to 2017!
This update adds a new data set up to December 2018 so we've got you covered!

3.4.0 01/17/2017
The tide predictions have been 1 hour ahead. Sometimes it's good to be ahead but not when you're estimating the tides! Now the Tide Table is fixed and shows the correct times.
Hope this hasn't caused too much trouble for you, but this update fixes an issue that a good number of you have reported (thanks for that!) - Timezones are hard.
As always, thanks for using Tides NZ, feedback is welcome! Also don't forget to tell you friends, family and pets to download it this summer!
3.3.2 02/04/2016

Previously added to the app was:
***Tides Widget***
I've finally gotten around to creating a widget for your phone's today view. It's pretty awesome to wake up in the morning and pull down the notification center and see what the tides are up to. Check it out!
You may have noticed a few updates recently, this is so you people on iOS7 devices have data up to the end of 2017 as this update now requires your devices to be updated to iOS 8.1+ to make use of the shiny new features. I'll say that again; Tides NZ now requires a device on iOS 8.1+

Tides NZ For iOS7!
Version 3 of Tides NZ brings a massive update. I've re-written Tides NZ from scratch to provide the best experience in iOS7.
Thanks for everyone's feedback so far, I've kept in everything you love, and added more features that I think you will love just as much..
New In 3.0:
** Fresh new look! **
I bit the bullet and made Tides NZ clean. It took a bit to get used to, but I think that the changes are for the better, as it fits with iOS7 much more. There's a new icon to watch out for now too!
** Tide Table **
See two months of tides in one handy list, just like a real tide table.
** Tide Notifications **
Set up a notification on a future prediction that can fire an hour before, half an hour before, on the peak, half an hour after or an hour after the tide turns! - Just press and hold your finger on a future tide to see the options. Read the app description or visit tidesapp.co.nz for more information
Thanks for your support in the past, and don't forget to tell your friends about how awesome Tides NZ is this summer!
Fixed in 3.0.1:
- Gisborne is back! There was a small issue with parsing Gisborne that caused it not to show up on the map or list.
- Shows 12 hour time in the Tide Table
- Fixed random text rendering on "notifications" text
- I've also made a slight change to tabbar animation, bouncy!
