The features of the optional Barcode Pro subscription were developed with business and power users in mind: CSV export, any number of custom URLs, and the workflow mode for quick bulk scanning.
The subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription duration (3 months/1 year), unless cancelled up to 24 hours before the end of the current period. The subscription fee will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase.

Most barcode apps are a shill around a QRcode reader designed to get you to use their advertiser network. Barcode and Barcode Pro are clean, fast, and are designed to get you busy scanning. No advertising, even in the free version. The Pro version has a bulk scanning feature that is fast enough to hold you over until you are scanning high speed barcodes on an assembly line. Got a skid full of monitors? Get all their serial numbers nice and fast with the Pro version. Need to tie it to a custom web service? Easy done, even in the free version. Multiple custom web servers are easy with the Pro version. A variable intensity light keeps you from auto washout and the camera focus is tuned for that sweet spot where the barcode has to be large enough to distinguish the lines. Great support for a bunch of 1D barcodes and a few popular 2D barcodes like DataMatrix (UIUD anyone?).
Good for race results
Retired & poor
I scan hundreds of bib number barcodes to record running race results. Normally, I use a dedicated hard-wired barcode reader which feeds the order of finish into the results database. With "Barcode", I can do that remotely. I scan barcodes into my iPhone and email the exported list to my computer. Although there are similar iPhone apps, "Barcode" scans and records a list of barcodes faster than any of the other barcode apps that I've used. On my Mac, when I get the barcode file via Apple Mail, my Mac likes to consider it a "Numbers" spreadsheet. My fix is to Control-click on the file and choose the appropriate file for my use.

Would be nice if UPC's, etc. would provide a direct link to Safari search to bypass the somewhat time consuming copy/paste.

You can use the „google search“ action to open a UPC code in Safari search. If you want a different search option, you can create a custom URL action. Feel free to contact our support if you have further questions.
