Users should have more controls

I allowed notifications for this app. I want to get news about Palm Springs. I don’t want to get notifications about every single Olympic event. As far as I can tell, there’s no way to configure the app to send me only what I want. As a result, I have to turn notifications off, which will reduce my number of visits. And, if I’m not the only one who feels this way, that may affect ad revenue because of the reduced number of visitors to the site.

Forget coming here for any kind of breaking news...or barely current news either.In a word, stale. KESQ isn’t much better...I think the app is just an afterthought, and no effort is put forth to make it a viable go-to source for any real news. There was a multi agency fire in Cathedral City last night...12 Engines responding. Nothing about it on the app this morning. Last night at eleven pm, KESQ led with the story, with a reporter on scene...KMIR, oops sorry...NBC Palm Springs ... led with old news.. Same effort put forth on this app apparently..
