It’s the only dictionary I’ve been using for 10 years already. It also is connected to the same authors application “Words Lesson”. There I keep the new words and later exercise them effectively in the “Words Lesson” app.

One caveat

It's great. It does pretty much everything it promises to. The only complaint I have is that while the phonetic transcriptions show proper pronunciation (British English), the voice actually reads the word in an American accent, which is quite baffling. It would be nicer to have two voice options, or at least if the app would specify which version was which.

Great word examples

Each word comes with several quality examples of its usage. Merriam Webster and Oxford’s Thesaurus do not have this option. Other apps may only have one example. This is a 5-star app and a “must have” for any serious learner of English. Kudos to the developer!
