Sevgi Bağı: Prayer Times Adhan
Quran, Qibla, Hadith & Duas
Free
Prayer times, azan reminders, the Holy Quran, hadiths and duas — all in one app. Completely free, no ads.
Sevgi Bağı is a comprehensive Islamic companion born from the work of the same name by İsmail Çetin — and it stays by your side throughout your daily worship, free and ad-free.
ABOUT THE WORK
"Sevgi Bağı" ("the bond of love") consists of two parts. The first expounds the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jama'ah, based on "Bad' al-Amali (Qasida al-Lamiyya)" by Imam Sirajuddin Ali bin Uthman al-Ushi al-Farghani (d. 569 AH) and its Turkish verse translation by Sheikh Hafiz Rafi' Efendi of Yanya. The second part gathers "Hizb al-A'zam" together with the words of refuge, supplications and dhikr a believer recites from morning to night. The name points to the bond of love between a servant and Allah, woven and strengthened through remembrance and prayer.

4.56.2 Sep 24

4.55.1 Sep 15
• Added Quran listening from a selected surah through An-Nas, with a mini-player, ayah/translation follow-along, resume, and a sleep timer. Choosing "listen" from a search result now opens the screen instantly instead of waiting for audio to load, and a stop button that sometimes did nothing has been fixed. Added a jump-to-top button to the Quran search and surah/page browse lists. The Quran tab icon was updated to stand apart from the Library tab, and the continue-reading card icon now sits next to its title.
• If an ayah cannot load while listening, the app retries once with the selected reciter and, if that still fails, tries the same ayah with the other reciters in the catalog in turn. An ayah recovered by a backup reciter plays with that reciter while later ayahs continue with the selected one. If none works, listening stops and the retry button tries only the selected reciter.
• Added Hizb-i A'zam, workplace prayers, and prayers for going to, entering, and leaving a mosque to the dua program. Mosque reminders can optionally run an editable interval before any selected subset of the five prayer times; none are selected by default. Hizb-i A'zam is suggested at 12:30.
• Mosque prayer-time suggestions now follow primary prayer-location and calculation-method changes while the saved dua choices remain independent from location and prayer-notification settings.
• The dua program card on Home now aligns with the other content cards.
• Dua reminders are now ordered by time from morning to evening, with the mosque reminder kept at the end. The mosque reminder lead time is now capped at 30 minutes.
• Fixed the last digit of Home prayer times being clipped on narrow screens; Home cards now pass automated rendering checks from small phones to wide desktops.
4.55.0 Sep 10
• Corrected numerous spelling, spacing, and transcription errors in the biographies of Islamic saints.
4.54.0 Sep 5
• The country, city and district lists are now searchable when adding a location, with Turkish-accent-insensitive matching.
• Central metropolitan districts such as Kadikoy, Cankaya and Konak now appear under their own names in the district list and search, and "Use My Current Location" saves your location under your district's name. Prayer times match the official provincial calendar.
• Online hatim: the organizer can now mark the closing hatim prayer as done and participants see the seal. The hatim prayer text itself can now be read in the app.
• Fixed a crash when opening the share sheet on iPad, including hatim invite links, verse and evliya sharing.
• When adding a location, the district list was out of alphabetical order in 39 of the 81 Turkish provinces; it now follows Turkish collation everywhere.
• Fixed a rare crash when swiping quickly between pages in the Qur'an and book reader.
• Fixed a crash when the system refused to store a prayer reminder.
• Fixed a crash when starting Qur'an or Dalail audio while another app held the audio session.
• Lock screen widgets now update immediately when your city changes; they used to keep showing the old city until the next prayer time.
• With multiple saved locations, widgets now always show your first location; background refreshes of other locations no longer override it.
• Saved locations you added yourself are no longer removed when you travel.
• Prayer notifications are now set for your active location only, so a second saved location no longer produces duplicate reminders.
• Prayer times now refresh more quickly after a connection problem.
• Home screen personalization and share options now appear in German, Spanish, French and Dutch; they used to stay in English.
• Participants whose display name contains an emoji showed a broken character instead of an initial in the khatm list; fixed.
• Book reader: the last lines no longer hide behind the jump-to-top button when scrolled to the end.
• Hatim screen colors: the sealed dua now stands out in its own (gold) color, and "claimed by me" markers match between the grid and the legend.

4.52.0 Aug 24
• Bookmarked pages now back up to your account when you sign in with Apple or Google, and come back after a reinstall or on a new device.
• Your missed-prayer (kaza) tracker backs up the same way.
• Reworked where the Qibla compass reads its direction from: the heading now comes from the device's motion sensors.
• Fixed the Qibla compass never reaching its aligned state where the Qibla runs close to due north.
• Fixed notes in the in-app "What's new" sheet being cut off mid-sentence when they wrapped onto a second line.
• Fixed everyone in an online hatim showing as "Participant" — the initials of whoever took a juz now show as intended.
• Fixed your account screen showing your email address in place of your name and profile photo.
• Your "read" markers for evliyas now back up to your account too.
• Your dhikr counter and the dhikr you have selected now back up to your account too.
• Fixed the first page turn after opening the Quran via "Continue reading" jumping abruptly instead of animating.
4.51.0 Aug 20
• New management screen for saved prayer-time locations: reorder them from one place (the first one drives the widget), delete one or all; notification, calculation-method and home-screen settings now live here too. The home screen's expanding menu is replaced by a one-tap button opening this screen.
• Deleting your last saved location no longer leaves the home-screen widget showing that location's prayer times; it falls back to its empty state. Deleting any one location also re-points the widget at the remaining first.
• The "no prayer times" message on the home-screen widget no longer collapses into a single cut-off line; it reads in full even on the smallest widget.
• Widget text now follows your phone's larger text-size setting, and stays readable without being cut off at every widget size.
• Opening the Qur'an reader through a link to a particular verse (notification, widget or a shared link) now lands on that verse instead of the top of the surah.
• Opening the reader straight into a verse from a link used to leave the first-open coach-marks blocking VoiceOver; the tour now waits for the next ordinary open.
• Prayer times could come up empty when the Diyanet service briefly returned an out-of-date calendar. The app now rejects such a response and falls back to times calculated on the device instead of overwriting the saved ones.
• The Sevgi Bağı, Delâilü'l-Hayrât and Cevşen readers can now save pages: the bookmark button marks the page you are on, and the list beside it takes you back with a single tap. Each entry also shows that page's opening words, so saved pages can be told apart without going by number. In Cevşen pages are saved per bab.
• On the Online Khatm screen your completed khatms now sit at the very bottom, below the open ones, so the top of the list is only khatms you are still reading or can still join.
• Starting a khatm without picking an end date now sets one three weeks out, so whoever forgets a claimed juz still gets the reminder push. A date you do pick now runs to the end of that day instead of expiring at its start.
• Turning on "notify me on every completed juz" or "remind me near the end" in a khatm's settings now asks for notification permission when it hasn't been granted. The switch used to turn on and quietly deliver nothing; if you decline, the snackbar takes you straight to the OS settings.
• Three Dalail al-Khayrat salawat showed only the opening sentences of their Turkish translation; the full text is now there — Wednesday's closing (40th) salawat and Monday's 39th and 44th. (Thanks to a reader's report.)
• Cleaned up the page breaks in the Sevgi Bağı reader: a du'a, a verse or a recitation count is no longer split across two pages.
• Opening your juz in the digital Qur'an from a khatm sent juz 7 and 11 a page back, to a page the juz has not started on yet; every juz now opens on its own first page.
• The coach-marks that should greet you the first time you open Online Khatm never showed; they are back, and now cover the "Start a khatm" button too.
• The juz number in the Qur'an reader's title now names the juz the mushaf prints on that page. On pages a juz starts mid-way through (62, 121, 201, 502) it could read one too low or one too high.
• On iPhones with no Mail account set up, the send-feedback button closed the app; it now opens your email app directly.
4.50.0 Aug 17
• Coordinates for every Diyanet district in Germany, the Netherlands and
France now ship with the app: adding a location via GPS resolves the
district precisely as the nearest one instead of guessing by name, and
while offline these locations compute their times on-device in the correct
time zone.
• Prayer times no longer come up empty when the Diyanet service can't be
reached. In Turkey on-device, Diyanet-matching times step in; abroad they now
do too, using the calculation method that country is served by — previously
there was no fallback at all outside Turkey.
• Prayer reminders now take one tap: a button at the top of the screen turns on
all five daily prayers at once. Switches apply immediately, with no Save to
press — some prayers used to look on without ever being scheduled.
• The Quran reader now offers per-verse tafsir (Al-Mukhtasar): via the book
icon next to each verse in list mode, or by long-pressing a verse on the
mushaf page. Once opened, a surah's tafsir is available offline. The share
button sends the verse, its translation and the tafsir as one text.
• Long-pressing a verse on the mushaf page now also offers share and listen.
• Fixed two crashes in the Quran reader: one when jumping to a verse, one when
the first-open tour started.
• Reminders that were switched on while the OS permission was off used to go
silent with nothing to show for it: the warning now appears the moment you
open the notification settings, and its shortcut opens the system
notification settings directly. Grant it and come back and the warning
clears itself, scheduling the reminders the refusal had blocked.
• The switch at the bottom of the notification settings no longer sits flush
against the edge of the screen, where it was awkward to tap.
• Fixed two regions of Dalail al-Khayrat where Turkish translations had
slipped one salawat down (Monday from salawat 39 to the end, and the first
31 salawats of Tuesday). Restored the missing translations of Monday's
closing dua and one Tuesday salawat, and repaired a Saturday translation
that showed Arabic instead of Turkish. (Thanks to a reader's report.)
• Feedback now opens in Mail's built-in composer, with the device and
version details as a dimmed footnote below your message.
• Tapping a hatim invite link now shows the hatim itself before asking you to
sign in: its name, progress and participants. An account is only required
when claiming a juz.
• Claimed-but-forgotten juz no longer stall a hatim: once the deadline has
passed, or a juz has sat unfinished for 7 days, another participant can
take it over after a confirmation.
• Claiming a juz no longer requires an account — anyone can take one
directly. Those who claim without an account see a note suggesting they
link one so their progress survives a phone change. (Starting a hatim
still requires an account.)
• Hiding and re-showing the Qur'an reader's bottom bar could leave the screen
reader (VoiceOver) unable to see anything in the app; fixed.
• The intro tour shown the first time you open the Qur'an reader and Online
Hatim had not appeared for two releases; it is back. Its coach-marks are
now read out by screen readers too.
4.49.0 Aug 12
• The prayer time table now always opens on today's row; it sometimes stayed
at the top of the list.
• Hadith search now looks through the full hadith text, not just titles, so it
returns far more results. The previous title search still runs when offline.
• Hadith content updates now reach the app on time; stale text could
previously stick around.
• The "Add a short hadith" option in prayer notifications now works even if
you have never opened the Hadiths screen; they are fetched silently in the
background.
• Announcement notifications sent from the app now reach devices.
• Links shared from Esmaü'l-Hüsna and the dua reader (Sevgi Bağı,
Delâilü'l-Hayrât) now open a real content web page for people who don't
have the app.
• The Sevgi Bağı book now always shows the translation; the "Show translation"
switch, which could empty the book's content, was removed for it.
4.48.0 Aug 5
• Adding a location now takes you straight to prayer-time notifications with the
recommended prayers pre-selected, so one tap sets your reminders up.
• You're now warned when notification permission is denied, instead of the app
reporting success and then staying silent.
• Notification permission is now asked for when you save your reminders, not on
the very first launch.
• The nearby mosques screen now explains why your location couldn't be found and
sends you to the setting that fixes it — Location Services when they're off,
app permissions when access was denied. It used to blame the permission every
time.
• "Always" location access, which travel updates need and iOS won't grant from
inside an app, now gets a sheet that walks you through the settings instead of
a warning that flashes past — and the feature switches itself on once you come
back with it granted.
• Fixed a crash that could happen when you left a screen while it was still
loading (prayer times, location picker, nearby mosques and others).
• Fixed a crash that could close the app while swiping pages in the PDF
reader.
• Fixed a fault that could abort the background task which refreshes your
prayer times when you travel.
• The Sevgi Bagi book got a new reader: instead of a fixed PDF it now opens
in the native reader with adjustable text size and dark-mode support.
Qur'an quotations are tagged with their surah and verse, and the book
resumes where you left off.
• Sevgi Bagi opens with a tappable table of contents, just like the printed
book; its text was compared line by line against the print so paragraphs
and emphasis now match exactly.
• Prayer readers got a "back to top" button that appears when you scroll up.
• Prayer reminders fired at the wrong hour in some time zones abroad
(Amsterdam among them); the device time zone is now recognised correctly.
stop halfway on some devices, leaving reminders that looked set up but never
arrived. Fixed.
4.47.0 Jul 31
• Tapping the prayer-times card on the home screen now opens the monthly
prayer-time table.
• Online hatim: completed hatims collapse to a single row and active ones
always stay on top. The completed-hatim screen is simpler now.
• Updated app dependencies for stability improvements.
• New: Apple Watch support. The watch app shows today's prayer times, and watch-face complications count down to the next prayer.
4.46.0 Jul 26
• Updated notification infrastructure; minor improvements and bug fixes.
• The surah range in the online hatim juz detail now follows the selected Quran language.
• Creating a hatim is simpler: the name field is gone, hatims are now auto-named "Khatm #N".
• Home appearance settings redesigned: pick the background and layout through a big swipeable live preview.
• "Release juz'" in a hatim now asks for confirmation, so a stray tap no longer gives your juz' away.
• New: zakat calculator. Enter cash, gold, silver, foreign currency, trade goods and debts; nisab and the amount you owe are worked out from the current gram gold price as you type.
• Fixed VoiceOver reading nothing on screen after opening the Quran page view a second time.
• Feedback emails now come pre-filled with your version, device and account details so reported problems can be resolved faster. The hadith section's "report an error" works the same way.
• The hadith sheet opened from a notification now has a share button too.
• The widget countdown sometimes started counting up after hitting zero at prayer time; it now rolls over to the next prayer the moment the time arrives.
• Share sheet improved: it now opens above the bottom navigation bar and long content no longer fills the screen and traps you in it. Hadith cards drop the Arabic text for a tidier look.
4.45.0 Jul 22
• New Lock Screen widgets: "Next Time" (inline line above the clock + a card with location and live countdown) and "Large Countdown" (a big second-by-second timer). Long-press the Lock Screen and tap Customize to add them.
• Qibla and Quran shortcuts in Control Center (iOS 18+). Add them by editing Control Center.
• Surahs and key screens now appear in Spotlight search: type e.g. "Yasin" in system search to open it directly in the app.
• The Home Screen widget now keeps its accent color in iOS 18 tinted mode.
• Long-press the app icon for Qibla, Quran, and prayer timetable shortcuts.
4.44.0 Jul 20
• New "Continue reading" card on the home screen: pick the Quran back up where you left off with one tap. In page view it names the page too. The card stays hidden until you have opened the reader.
• A link opened while the Quran reader is already on screen (from a notification or a shared link) now goes to the right verse; previously it did nothing.
• Online hatim: tapping a juz' now offers two readers — the digital Quran or the PDF Mushaf — each opening right where the juz' begins.
• Quran reader: the Basmala is no longer glued to a surah's first verse — it now opens the surah on its own line, as in a mushaf. Al-Fatihah (where the Basmala is verse 1) and At-Tawbah (which has none) are handled correctly.
• Quran reader: page and juz' jumps no longer stutter — jumping to the later juz' is now instant.
• Taking a juz' no longer closes the sheet, so you can start reading straight from it.
4.43.0 Jul 17
• A new share option: share content either as plain text or as an elegant greeting-card image, with three card patterns to choose from. Sharing the card sends just the image and an app link — the content isn't repeated as text. Available for verses, hadiths, duas, Dalâil al-Khayrat, the Names of Allah, and daily content.
• Prayer times: a slim progress bar now shows how far along you are toward the next prayer, and the active-prayer highlight transitions smoothly.
• The Qibla compass needle is steadier: raw sensor jitter is smoothed so it settles without shaking.
• Zhikr counter: a calm ring flare and a stronger haptic mark every 33 (completing a tesbih).
• The online hatim progress bar now fills smoothly when a juz is claimed or completed instead of jumping.
• The missed-prayer count now animates as you add or subtract.
• Audio play/pause buttons now morph between states, and the Quran Radio "live" indicator gently pulses.
• Bookmarking a Quran page or PDF now plays a small pop.
• When creating an online hatim, "Open" (public) is now the default and sits on the left. The hatim screen's notifications button is now a Settings button, consolidating notification preferences and privacy (making a private hatim public later) into a single bottom sheet.
• In the Quran page view, surah beginnings are now set off by an elegant header card showing the surah name (Turkish/Arabic), Meccan/Medinan, verse count and juz.
• The Quran reader header is de-duplicated: page, juz and surah info no longer appear in both the app bar and a second strip below it — consolidated into one, with a single bookmark control.
4.42.0 Jul 16
• Online hatim: the name of whoever claims a juz or starts a hatim now shows to other participants as initials only (e.g. "A.Y.") for privacy.
• Online hatim notifications: completing the final juz now sends only the "Hatim completed" push; the duplicate per-juz notification was removed.
• Online hatim: get a reminder when a hatim you joined is nearing its deadline and your claimed juz isn't finished yet (3 and 1 days before). Toggle it from the new notifications button on the hatim screen; on by default.
• Online hatim: the hatim's notification settings now live in a panel that opens from the bell button in the top corner of the screen.
4.41.1 Jul 14
• What's new: after you update the app, the first launch shows a screen summarizing what changed in this version. Shown once per update.
• Prayer time notifications can now use a separate sound for the on-time and the before-time alert — set the two independently for each prayer.
• Refreshed the Time Notifications screen: each prayer is now a single card with an at-a-glance status, and each sound sits directly beneath its toggle.
4.41.0 Jul 13
• Lives of the Saints: the list header now shows a small note crediting the Encyclopedia of Saints as the content source, and opens it on tap.
• Live Streams: a new section on the More tab lets you open the official 24/7 broadcast of Makkah (Masjid al-Haram — the Kaaba) in one tap.
• Online hatim cards now show which hatim it is in order of creation: each hatim gets a number (#1, #2 …) based on when it was created, shown next to its title.
• Online hatim notifications: you now get a push when a hatim you joined is completed. A new toggle on the hatim screen also lets you get a push on every completed juz (off by default).
• Home personalization: home layout and background now live together on one screen. Pick one of two layouts — the classic prayer-times grid or the new "Prayer focus" (big countdown) — and set a mosque photo behind it (Kaaba, Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, Sultanahmet, Sheikh Zayed). Preview and switch from More > Settings or the home menu button.
• Share the App: a new option on the More tab lets you send the app to friends in one tap. The shared link opens the app directly if it's installed, or the relevant store if it isn't.
• Added 8 new reciters to the Quran reader (17 total): Abdurrahmaan As-Sudais, Abdullah Basfar, Abdul Samad, Hani Rifai, Husary (Mujawwad), Ibrahim Akhdar, Saood Ash-Shuraym, and Ayman Sowaid. The reciter list is now alphabetized and numbered.
• Fixed reciter switching during Quran playback: after a surah finishes, picking a different reciter no longer starts playing on its own; playing again now correctly restarts the surah from ayah 1 instead of resuming from the wrong spot.
• Fixed the last ayahs on a page or surah being hidden behind the reader's bottom bar (settings/audio controls) — now fixed across every reading mode.
• Prayer times and daily content now load more reliably through a central service, greatly reducing the loading errors seen during peak times.
• The home screen no longer keeps the screen awake; your device now dims and locks on its normal timeout.
• The Qur'an translation language now defaults to your device language on first launch (when supported); unsupported languages fall back to Turkish. You can change it anytime in the reader settings.
• Added two new ney-melody prayer-time notification sounds: pick "Melody 1" or "Melody 2" per prayer in the Prayer Time Notifications settings.
• Added a new home-screen background: the Diyarbakir Grand Mosque.
4.40.0 Jul 13
4.39.0 Jul 10
• Online Khatm: complete the Quran together with family and friends. Start a khatm, share its invite code (or invite link), and participants claim the juz' they wish. Read your juz' in the in-app Quran reader or mark it completed after reading elsewhere — with undo if you tap it by mistake; open khatms are joinable by everyone and progress updates live. Tapping an invite link shows a confirmation before joining. (More > Online Khatm — requires Apple/Google sign-in.)
• Account management: on the More tab, tap the avatar icon in the top-right corner to reach your account. From there you can see which provider (Apple/Google) you're connected with, sign out, or permanently delete your account.
• Prayer-time calculation method (optional): Default keeps the official Diyanet times; from Settings or the home location menu you can switch to Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Egyptian, Karachi or Tehran and have times computed on your device — works for locations abroad too.
• Offline & rate-limit resilience for Türkiye: when the Diyanet service is unreachable (no connection or a temporary spike), Turkish locations keep showing times computed on-device, matching Diyanet within ~2 minutes.
• Automatic location updates now silently refresh your prayer-time notifications too: (when the feature is on) if you travel to another city, notifications update for the new city instead of continuing to fire for the previous one.
• The More tab got tidier: Qibla, prayer-time calendar, religious days, missed-prayer tracking, nearby mosques, and Online Khatm are now a one-tap icon grid, so the whole page fits on screen without scrolling.
4.38.1 Jul 8
• Account sign-in (optional): sign in with Apple or Google to get ready for upcoming features (e.g. online khatm). You can keep using the app without signing in, just as before; find sign-in under Settings > Account.
• Uninterrupted background listening: Quran radio and recitation keep playing when the app is backgrounded — control them from the lock screen and notification-shade player.
• Auto-update prayer times while travelling (optional): once enabled, when you move to another city your prayer times and home-screen widget retune to the new city automatically in the background, without opening the app. (Turn it on from the prompt shown when you reach a new city, or in Settings.) To save battery and respect privacy it only updates when the **city** changes (district changes within the same city don't refetch). It needs always-on location permission; you can turn it off anytime in Settings.
• Added 3 new biographies to Lives of the Saints: Abapûş-i Velî, Arab Dede (Hacı Dede), and Takiyyüddîn Ebû Bekr Kefevî.
• Lives of the Saints can now be browsed by region: the "By region" tab lists saints by the country where their tomb lies (Türkiye, Iraq, India, …); open a country to browse it with the same search and A–Z index.
• Fixed ~1730 digitization spacing glitches in the Lives of the Saints texts (e.g. "etti.Sonradan" → "etti. Sonradan").
• Arabic text in hadith details now renders more accurately, with mandatory ligatures (e.g. lam-alif لا) shaped correctly.
• Choose the Arabic font in the readers: from the settings panel of the Qur'an and the dua / Delâilü'l-Hayrât / Edelü'l-Hayrât readers you can pick the Arabic typeface (Mushaf/Uthmani or Scheherazade). The choice is shared across all readers and remembered on the device; the default is the Mushaf face used in the Qur'an.
4.37.0 Jul 1
• Account sign-in (optional): sign in with Apple or Google to get ready for upcoming features (e.g. online khatm). You can keep using the app without signing in, just as before; find sign-in under Settings > Account.
• Uninterrupted background listening: Quran radio and recitation keep playing when the app is backgrounded — control them from the lock screen and notification-shade player.
• Auto-update prayer times while travelling (optional): when you move to another city, opening the app shows a prompt offering to keep your times up to date in the background; accept it (or enable it in Settings) and prayer times and your home-screen widget retune to the new city without opening the app. To save battery and respect privacy it only updates when the **city** changes (district changes within the same city don't refetch).
Sonradan").
