Now I Read My Bible Everyday

Having this app on my phone is an essential part of how I start my day. Before I log onto work, I read the daily readings on this app. Because I can’t attend a mass every day during the work week, this at least allows me to read the same readings that are being read at morning daily mass. I have the 2010 version with the study notes that I paid for nine years ago. All still works just fine. If you just have the 2024 version, you will need to buy that in order to read the study notes. The 2010 Bible with study notes works for me just fine though. The main thing is read your Catholic Bible every day, if only at least the Daily Readings. Jesus created a church and his church gave us the Bible through the Holy Spirit. The Bible is now on your phone and you have no excuse not to read it for a few minutes out of your day. It will strengthen you in many ways.

I purchased the Catholic Study Bible app along with the study Bible - Personal edition. It was a $15 add-on, and worth every penny and then some. If Ignatius is still offering it, definitely take advantage and buy it. The app itself is the Bible, plus study materials. Clicking on single passages brings up the commentary, notes, links to catechism, word study, etc.. There's daily mass readings, readings for Lent (at the time of this writing), an area to add notes, track highlighted passages, and other useful features. Overall it's a robust app that can be used for Bible study in isolation, or in combination with the physical Bible. I love that I can pull it up on my phone, tablet, or laptop, everything synced, and have the option to study my faith wherever I choose. The physical Bible is wonderful, but even the Personal edition can be rather larger to take with you places, or for travel. This app solves that dilemma.

Even with a flaw

I have used a Ignatius study Bible for many years now. It has been valuable to my studies. Word searches throughout the entire Bible help me find verses very quickly. The podcast are low cost and have amazing insight into the Catholic faith. There’s only one flaw that has happened and that is the daily readings don’t match up with the actual daily readings, but even with this flaw, it is sup to all the other Catholic study Bibles. I have downloaded and I could not rate it less because even with this current flaw, it blows a lot of the other Bibles out of the water.

Audio Old Testament Please

I love this Catholic Bible app. I would give it 5 stars if it had audio for the Old Testament, but awesome app still. Hopefully, an audio Old Testament will come out soon. I’m most unfamiliar with the Old Testament and i find it more difficult to just open up and read the Old Testament. However, i really want to hear and know the stories at the same time. I feel like if there was audio for it, it would help a lot, even if it is not dramatized. That way I can just easily play and hear the stories in the background. I also just don't want to have to download a non-Catholic Bible app just to hear the Old Testament in audio which would take up extra space on my phone 😄 But, I love the app so far!
