The reports in Pro Angler are one of the main reasons I use it every trip. With other apps, reports always felt vague or like ai, like they could apply anywhere. But Pro Angler gets specific. It tells you what species are biting, what bait is working, and even techniques that are worth trying. That’s real value to me so I can have a better idea of what to rig before I launch. Last month, I followed a tip for smallmouth bass, and within an hour I had two solid fish in the boat using the exact lure it recommended. That kind of accuracy builds confidence. Pair that with the weather and you’ve got all the info you need before you leave the dock. To be honest the weather is probably more detailed than I use, but I'm sure it's useful for pros or guys in tournaments. It’s also nice being able to share catches and see what others are pulling in around me. That community aspect makes it fun, and the accuracy of their spots makes it useful. Basically it's everything in one place.

Tide chart app?
Nick_Dalton
First I just wanna say this app is organized great! I’ve been fishing for a minute now and I got this app to elevate my catch I upgraded to the pro but the only thing that actively changes is the tides on the app no update to who’s catching what when where the hot spots are always pinned but I’ve gone to some of these spots on days i usually don’t fish just to see if they are “hot” and nothing maybe I’m using the app wrong and should just get really good at interpreting the tide chart? Any help would be appreciated!

Hey Nick! Thank you for your comments on our layout, we've made many revisions to get dial it in for anglers like yourself! You can find the historical catch info on the "User Catches" found in the GPS section or by Searching for your favorite species in Catch Central. GPS route>Tap GPS in the bottom navigation. Tap User Catches. Then tap a catch's thumbnail to bring you to the user post. Finally, tap the Weather History Icon in the upper right of the catch to see exactly when they caught the fish on the tide with a visual tide representation.Feel free to reach out to us anytime at support@proangler.us and thanks for using Pro Angler!
I’m really kinda mixed on this
Badmofracky
As the title reads I have mixed feelings on this app I paid for the premium service to get the feel for what this could offer and it does not deliver what it says it claims it does. Example the last report was back on June 20th, today is July 8th. I do understand that this app most likely works off of local information but it only has one ramp in my area when in fact there are multiple which tells me either research fell of or they need help from local CPTs input. Now with that said their weather reports I stick with mixed with NOAA I’ll pull up the app constantly all day. Tides are slightly off but the weather is mainly what I’m watching. I do believe this would be a beyond an amazing app if all this would come together. Not sure if the devs read this but if you want me to send you the bait shops and marinas just let me know and I’ll gladly do it.

Hi Badmofracky! Thanks for taking a deep dive into Pro Angler, we do read and value this feedback! I'm here to get to the bottom of this! Our reports are updated weekly (in part by me actually!) so I'll need to know your home waterway to further investigate. You are correct, we do have many local contacts, in addition to other sources as well and certainly will ensure we have the the latest and most valid information. Please give me (Lindsay) a shout at support@proangler.us to chat about this and get everything working properly for you!

On the positive side the app does give a lot of good information. On the negative side, I wouldn’t put much faith in the what’s biting now section. That is available when you pay like $35 for 3 months if I remember correctly. This is something I will not be renewing. In my area it only shows 2 species inshore which is inaccurate. The other area I go to fish showed several species, but never mentioned Sheepshead which are stacked up there. The species mentioned were not being caught at all. So with that said, I went looking for Pompano which I didn’t get......neither was anyone else. What I did get was some Sheepshead all in the 16-18 inch range. So, not a bad day at all, but inaccurate reporting makes it hard to take the right bait for the species biting.
