Taking attendance in your classroom has never been faster, simpler or more fun. Engage students by allowing them to take their own attendance in the app. Roll Call mode within the app lets you check students in quickly by tapping on their photo. At a glance you can quickly see who is present (color photos) and who is absent (black and white photos). Detailed check-ins give you the flexibility to provide custom times, notes, and caretaker tracking. CLASSROOM SETUP AND STUDENT DETAILS Quickly setup your classroom by bulk importing student information from a CSV file. Students can also be imported from the address book or entered manually within the app. Students can also be added to multiple classrooms and student information such as phone number, birthday, allergies, medications, and notes can also be tracked. ATTENDANCE REPORTING AND EXPORT Version 2.0 includes entirely redesigned reporting capabilities! You can now choose custom date ranges and select different report types including the Class Report, Student Report, Date Report, and Student Information Report. Reports can be previewed in the app then exported to another app or printed to an AirPrint compatible printer. CARETAKERS Information can be stored about caretaker's pick-up eligibility, relationship to student, and contact information. If an unauthorized caretaker is selected for check-out an alert will be shown to inform you. With a couple taps you can send the student's attendance records to the student and caretakers of your choosing. THANK YOU Thank you for supporting Roll Call. Reviews and ratings in the App Store are greatly appreciated. For any feature requests or issues please use the Contact Support button within the app.

Could be much more efficient

I like having the pictures of the students, but every time I take attendance I have to touch the student, which opens a window, then I have to make two more touches before the student is counted present. If everyone is present I have to spend several minutes, when, with an attendance book, because you mark ABSENCES I wouldn't have to even get out the book.I would like to see more options: set for present or absent and then touch or double-touch the faces to mark present/absent. Some of these programs even have a random name generator to call on someone, which would also be nice. I'm not ready to switch apps yet, but I am spending way too much time taking attendance with this app. It should go much quicker, especially once I've learned names. It could also have a "name quiz" feature, to show faces without names, like flashcards, to help learn names the first week of school.

This is a great app. I use it with my students that have different abilities. I would only ask if you could give an option for either spelling the child's name phonetically or be able to record the pronunciation. Some names are pronounced wrong. This is frustrating to some students. Part of our "checking in" time is using this app, it is a great skill for the students to learn to recognize their name, and or picture. Add the phonetic option and I would love it!

There should be a means of setting up a separate, printable attendance calendar for each class. There should be a clear, easy means to archive and/or export the attendance and class records by semester and year. You need to store photos of students in some secure place OTHER than the camera roll. They should be copied to the archive files.
