ScatterBuddies is the quick-thinking category party game you play together on one device. No sign-up, no Wi-Fi, no waiting — just grab your friends.
HOW TO PLAY
Everyone gets the same letter and the same 10 categories, like:
• Something in a kitchen
• A musical instrument
• Something you wear
• A breakfast food
You have 90 seconds to think of an answer for each category that starts with that letter. Then pass the phone to the next player.
When everyone has played, judge the answers together. Every answer counts unless the group rules it out with a tap. Matching answers cancel each other out, so the most original thinker wins!
GAME MODES
PASS & PLAY
1 to 8 players on one iPhone or iPad. Take your turns, pass it around, then judge together and crown a champion.
ANSWER RACE
A solo race against the clock: guess the crowd's favorite answers for each category. Right answers add time, popular picks score more, and letters reveal themselves when you're stuck. How long can you last?
PRACTICE
A quick 90-second solo round. When time's up, be your own judge, see your score, and chase your personal best.

I can see this becoming a very fun game, but it still needs a lot of work. Good job so far. Just needs a facelift and maybe an overall better way of playing. This game barely resembles Scattegories, unfortunately. It's in the general direction, though. More modes. More fun.

Same terrible letters and categories. Did a 9 year old create this? Spelling and grammatical errors and too limited response options. Fail.

The questions are too specific for the amount of obscure letters that come up. I understand wanting the player to invest in the full version of the game, but this was over the top. The keyboard takes up half the screen, ads take up a gap above that, and there is a little section that you have to scroll up and down through to see you question. It also starts popping up with snarky little messages like "You would have had more time if you upgraded. Just saying." very early in the game. I played two rounds and deleted it from my device. It was too annoying to bother with. The game want good enough to have to deal with the negatives.
ScatterBuddies has been rebuilt from the ground up! A fresh new look, faster Pass & Play for up to 8 players, a brand-new Practice mode, and Answer Race is back. Online play, accounts and coins have been retired for now — everything works offline, no sign-up needed.
