Maintaining privacy and delivering optimal user experience is our highest priority. • Define your own spending categories The key to money management is to put your transactions into categories, that way you can see where your money goes. GreenBooks lets you easily create your own categories. • View the breakdown of your spending by category The Breakdown chart shows you where your money is going, by breaking down your expenses and incomes by categories. Now you can answer the question, "where did all my money go?" • Keep track of bills and subscriptions Scheduled transactions let you keep track of all of your recurring bills. Set reminders so you never forget to pay them, and when your bills are due, log the payment with a tap. • Reconcile your accounts easily It's easy to reconcile accounts in GreenBooks with your bank. New transactions are marked as pending with a yellow flag, just tap the flag to clear it. You see both the ledger and cleared balance of your accounts at any time. • Split transactions If you spent money in a store but they don’t all belong to the same category, simply split the transaction into multiple categories. • Passcode protection Easily protect your data with a PIN. • Connect to banks or enter manually. It’s your choice. GreenBooks has the ability to connect directly to the bank (via the Mac app), however, it is not necessary. You can enforce good spending habits by entering transactions manually. • Use GreenBooks for Mac for even more power. GreenBooks for Mac has advanced features such as connecting to banks, editing multiple transactions at once, creating long-term budgets, viewing your net worth and spending trends over time. One of many careers was booking for a construction company and my own business. Most of this was before personal computer, but when I bought my first computer,I created a program that helped me keep my business and personal accounts. When apps appeared I jumped on the band wagon until they started making you update at an (to me) unreasonable cost. I then created a spreadsheet program to accomplish this. I decided to try GreenBooks and it work so well I bought it. There are some minor learning curves, but it is literally the best app I’ve seen for personal finances. It des exactly what I want.

I rely on this app daily to keep track of my accounts. I love this app does not connect to my bank accounts and that I have control to flag upcoming payments or deposits. I keep a running list all of my accounts - checking, savings, credit, HSA-all in one spot so I can quickly view when I need to. I like the simple design and that I can add details and categorize my debits/credits. Plus I like the addition of weekly, monthly and yearly report function. This is a solid app that gets the job done and doesn’t have unnecessary flashy interface. I’m glad I found it.

I’ve been using checkbook. It didn’t have the ability to split categories in the transaction. GreenBooks has this feature. So far, I’m loving it. It will definitely help me track my spending in Walmart (so many categories on one receipt). I didn’t need all of the bells and whistles with the bigger bookkeeping applications. Just a check register that splits categories of each transaction.After using the free version for a week or two, I purchased the unlimited version. Not had any issues. It does exactly what I expect. Highly recommend.

I’m using a budget app to help myself SAVE money… why do people pay huge subscription fees for this stuff??GreenBooks is very simple, inexpensive, and does exactly what you need. Nothing more, nothing less. If you connect to the desktop version (I recommend it!) you can sync purchases as well.
