»Better Ears Beginner« is the free version of »Better Ears«, an educational music theory and ear training app. »Better Ears« helps you grow your musical skills and sharpen your hearing. 15 different exercises are included, from interval recognition all the way to chord progressions and rhythm training – perfect for beginners and music masters alike! »Better Ears Beginner« has all the exercises of »Better Ears«, but is limited to one level and one instrument. It also has no custom exercises and no microphone pitch detection. NEW: RHYTHM TRAINING Train your sense of timing with two new exercises: hear a rhythm and tap it back, or read rhythmic notation and perform it in time – with count-in, metronome, triplets and time signatures like 3/4, 4/4 and 5/4. Put yourself in "Training Camp" to learn church modes, or focus on those two pesky intervals that always trip you up. ANSWER WITH YOUR VOICE OR A REAL INSTRUMENT* Built-in pitch detection lets you answer by singing or playing a real instrument – just sing or play the notes when the microphone button lights up red. SYNC ALL OF YOUR DEVICES Keep your Mac and your iOS devices in sync via Dropbox. You choose what to sync: your own levels, your statistics, your settings – or all of it. MIDI SUPPORT »Better Ears« can route sound through an external MIDI device, so you can use your existing MIDI master keyboard or sound module. You can even control »Better Ears« with a connected keyboard. STATISTICS For every exercise, »Better Ears« tracks your stats, including how often you've answered each question correctly or incorrectly.
