MEMBERSHIP, EXPLAINED PROPERLY Membership and Billing now tells you what you are actually paying for: the plan you are on, the date you subscribed, when it renews next, and where to manage or cancel it. If there is a tier above yours we mention that one, instead of pitching Premium to somebody who already has it. MY BOOKMARKS An empty Bookmarks page is now a page. It explains what bookmarks are for and how to add one, rather than showing you a blank screen and leaving you to guess. ROUTES Links in a route description are tappable. A video guide linked from a route now opens in one tap, without throwing you out of the app. SEARCH The search field says what it actually searches, achievements included. Look up a trophy by its name or by what it asks you to do, and go straight to its guide. UNDER THE HOOD The app now identifies itself properly to our servers. That sounds like nothing, but it is what stops people who share a network, a carrier or a region from being counted as one another, which was causing sign-in and rate limit problems for some of you.

This update fixes a crash. FIXED - The app could quit a few seconds after signing in, and then on every launch afterwards, for accounts without a profile picture. This affected anyone who had just signed up. Our apologies if you hit it. ALSO IN THIS VERSION - Bigger cover art across the browse screens, so more of the artwork is readable at a glance. - Buying a Legend lifetime membership now points at the current listing. Existing Legend members are unaffected and keep everything they already have.

Version 2.1 is the biggest update since launch, rebuilt around getting you to the guide faster. REDESIGNED - Three tabs instead of five: Search, Maps and Guides. Your account, library and settings now live behind the avatar in the menu. - The app opens on Search. - Guides, sections and settings open as full pages instead of cards stacked over the app. The reader and the map get the whole screen. - Signing in is a card now, not a page that takes over the app. - Frosted panels on guide, map, database and checklist headers, and one consistent banner on every screen that has one. NEW - Continue reading: a shelf on the home screen with every guide you have open, and one tap back to the exact page. Forget any guide you are done with. - Checklists: track every collectible in a game, one location at a time, from the guide or straight from a map marker. - Currently Playing is an editable shelf, and you can import what you are playing from Steam. - Recent comments: a feed for each guide, with a teaser on the guide's landing page. - Search now covers achievements as well as guides, maps, markers and database items. MAPS - The full filter drawer from the website: category switches with live counts, My Notes, My Submissions, and Show, Fade or Hide for markers you have already collected. - Simplify Map for a cleaner view, and two-column filters on iPad. - Map lists give each map its own numbered card with Save, and show comment counts. - Note pins draw with proper icons. - One Add button covers both markers and private notes. READING - Sepia moved into the reader, where it belongs: it is reading paper, not an app appearance. - Bookmarks and comments moved into the reader bar. - Fixed the safe-area gap at the bottom of pages, the tab bar painting over the reader, link tap targets, and the end of a guide. ACHIEVEMENTS - Rating scales rebuilt to match the website, and you can now clear a rating you have given. - Community ratings sit alongside your own. Removed: the reader's Listen control.

Reading • Listen is now a button in the reader's control bar, so a guide can read itself aloud in one tap. • Listening shows how far through the page it has read. • Headings are no longer read out with a stray paragraph mark. • Your chosen font now applies to headings as well as body text. • The page keeps its bottom edge when the controls hide, and no longer insets twice on newer iPhones. • The reader says when you have reached the last page. • A tap beside a link no longer counts as a tap on it. Maps • Adding a marker no longer leaves the description box behind the keyboard. • Map note pins take their colour as you pick it, rather than on save. Account • Your profile picture shows the default avatar instead of an empty circle. • Switching appearance now repaints the reader's bar and controls with everything else. • Checklists say when they are coming, rather than leading Explore with an empty screen.

Gamer Guides has been rebuilt from the ground up as a native iPhone and iPad app. Everything below is new in this version. READ WITHOUT SIGNAL Download a full guide, images and all, and read it offline. Built for flights, commutes and handheld play. ITEM DATABASES AND TROPHY GUIDES Browse complete item databases with stats, locations and artwork, and jump straight from a map marker to the item it holds. Trophy and achievement guides now include roadmaps, difficulty ratings, your own screenshots, and community ratings for how hard or how long something takes, across PlayStation, Xbox and Steam.
