The 4iiii app is a valuable tool to get the most out of the features of your 4iiii products and achieve your fitness goals. Using the app, you can connect to your 4iiii power meter (PRECISION 3/3+ models) and your Viiiiva heart rate monitor to both configure and update them. You can record workout data to be later uploaded to your favourite training software.
The companion Ride Watch app turns your Apple Watch into a cycling head unit. View power, cadence, heart rate, speed, distance, live while riding. Ride records your workout data to FIT file, and to Apple Fitness for closing your rings. Auto-sync to Strava keeps your activity feed up-to-date on completion of every outdoor or indoor cycling workout.

I wished I had read some of the reviews. To start with, support was good to identify my problem which was I got a new bike and now have two sets of Precision crank meters - the App does not support multiple sets of meters.First thought that came to me was, “Am I the only person that has multiple sets of these crank meters?” Answer is no. If you have more than one set of crank meters you have to have a unique device just for that set.I can only hope that 4iii app designers read this and at least consider adding either the option for multiple meters or at a minimum a notice on the app that gives the user an error message to tell the user can not attach multiple meter devices.
Bricked my power meter *edited*

I got a new Podium Precision power meter, installed it, and used it with no problems. This morning I realized that there was a firmware update available on the 4iiii app. Everything seemed to update okay. Went for a ride later and no more cadence or power readings. Completely blank. So I unpaired from my Garmin and repaired the pm. Still nothing. Then I noticed when I tried to perform a factory reset from the app that it will not let me. It simply states there was an error. I have unpaired and repaired from the app. Even reinstalled the app several times. Nothing works. It pairs just fine and will even calibrate from my 520, but nothing is right on the app. I cannot rename it, cannot zero it, cannon reset it. So frustrating. I’ve had the pm for one day and the app has made it all but useless!*EditI reached out to 4iiii customer support just before midnight on Saturday night. By lunch on Sunday I had a reply from Wriley at the cs department with this solution that worked perfectly for me. Her it is: Please follow the steps below:Open the 4iiii App and connect to your powermeter by adding deviceDelete your powermeter from the App by swiping left on the powermeter field and tapping deleteForce close the appRestart your phoneConnect to your powermeter by adding deviceTap on the powermeter field to access Device SettingsInstall available Feature Update. This includes the Chipolo tracking functionality. After the Feature Update has been installed, you should now see power and cadence in the Workout page of the app.*I have changed my rating from 1 star to 4, not because of the app but because of the excellent care I received from 4iiii customer support staff!!!
When it works, it works well. But when it doesn’t…
Will's Mojo
It’s VERY frustrating, especially when you don’t realize the ride somehow stopped recording until AFTER your ride is done. And there is no partial FIT file that at least captured part of the ride before it stopped. Like someone mentioned, it may be the notifications. Was hoping to avoid using my HRM strap for my commutes but not at the expense of potentially missing a whole ride. And not supporting multiple power meters is a pain.Another pain point - it seems to keep running in the background even after a ride, drawing down the Watch battery.
Developer Response
We apologize for the frustrating experience. After long investigation we concluded the issue is caused by an Apple framework bug connected with notifications. The app is not crashing or failing, but is being terminated by the system for excessive CPU use - incorrectly, because the Ride app doesn’t receive a backgrounding notice when a notification overlay presents. The good news is that this issue does not appear to be a problem on watchOS 10, but only on watchOS 9. If you need to stay on watchOS 9 a possible workaround is to create a Fitness Focus so that notifications don’t overlay the app. Thanks for your feedback!
Basics are ok, bike index integration laughable

This app finds my power meter without issue and the battery meter works as expected. The zero offset calibration seems to work well but there is no indication of an offset number so it is hard to tell if it is reasonable or consistent. The link to bike index for me was laughable, worst I have seen in a long time. I entered my bike on the bike index website but linking the power meter to the bike via the app was beyond unstable, the bike would disappear, all entered text would disappear. I gave up after 5 tries, all with the same result. I haven’t seen a firmware update yet so I can’t comment on that functionality.
Support for the new Viiiiva 2 heart rate monitor was added.
