Welcome to Bingo Fuel!
Delays, holding patterns and diversions are typically not an everyday occurrence in aviation, but when one or all of these do happen, quick and accurate fuel numbers are critically important.
The term "Bingo Fuel" has its roots in military aviation, but has become widely accepted in all phases as representing the critical fuel number where a decision must be made -- to divert to an alternate, continue to the destination or make an intermediate stop. Simply, your "Bingo" fuel number means that you cannot accept any additional holding or delay and still land with the regulatory amount of fuel required. Many rules of thumb and computational methods exist to compute "Bingo," and this application allows for their use -- while also providing a standardized framework to take the difficulty out of figuring the Bingo Fuel number.
The application has three main components -- Burn to Destination, Calculate Bingo and Time To Hold. The Burn to Destination tool computes fuel burn with pilot entry of groundspeed, fuel flow and distance. Calculate Bingo figures your Bingo Fuel number with pilot entry of alternate fuel, reserve fuel, fuel burn and a safety margin, if you choose. Finally, Time To Hold figures the number of minutes you may hold with pilot entry of fuel on board, fuel flow and the bingo fuel number. Detailed instructions for using the application are also provided in app - no internet connection required!
These tools may be used by themselves, or in combination - values are auto-filled between the tools for your convenience! Burn to Destination is auto-filled to Calculate Bingo, and the Bingo Fuel number is auto-filled over to Time To Hold.

Simple, clean, and quick. The autofill function from each page is very useful, and makes it super easy to build numbers to confirm the numbers from dispatch. Nice app!
Great app! Needs updates!

Amazing app but it does need some updates. The version that I have (1.6) looks like an iPhone app that must be blown up in order to view it in full screen on the iPad. The link that you have in your help section does not take you to the iPad version. I have tried to find the iPad version within the App Store and I can’t find it. With the app that I currently have downloaded some of the categories are truncated. For instance, on the first category of fuel flow to destination the top right hand variable says “Fuel Flow/ Engi...”. There are a couple of other categories that are also truncated and shortened. Also, since I can’t seem to find the actual iPad version this app does not convert automatically to landscape mode upon rotating the iPad.

This is an excellent utility, useful particularly for singular pilots who must make decisions and judgements on their own. But useful for all who pilot aircraft. it's virtue is its simplicity and ease of use and quickness While simple results can be life saving. A great find. Highly recommend.Viewed the update. Rating of 4 to 5 stars. Over time you appreciate this more. Fast, efficient, to the point. This would not be truly useful if you had to futz. No futzing, no fooling! What is next?

This is a great app that can help you when things are going hectic. There are other things to worry about and this app helps do the math on the fly for you. It helps to decrease your workload.
This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included.
