WHAT IS VENUE?
Venue is a free room decorating app for iPhone and iPad where players style realistic interior spaces, complete client projects, and design your room as they imagine it. One of the calmest decorating games on the store, Venue replaces match-3 and energy meters with intuitive drag-and-drop styling, soothing music, and a deep catalog of real-world decor.
WHAT MAKES VENUE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER HOME DESIGN GAMES?
Venue is one of the few home design games with no puzzles, no timers, and no daily play limits. Most popular decorating games lock progress behind match-3 or energy mechanics. Venue is built around the design itself: you spend your time styling, not solving. The catalog feels like a real interior decorating app, with textiles, lighting, and furniture modeled on current interior design trends, placing Venue among the best interior design apps for players who care about realism.
IS VENUE A GOOD GAME FOR ADULTS WHO WANT TO RELAX?
Yes. Venue is built as a calm creative home design game for adults. With soothing music, intuitive controls, and a deep library of dream room ideas, it suits evening wind-down, anxiety-friendly play, or quiet creative time. Many players use Venue the way others use coloring books: a low-stakes outlet for creativity, unlike most pressure-driven design games.
HOW DO YOU PLAY AND PROGRESS IN VENUE?
You receive a client brief, a blank room, and a curated catalog of furniture, lighting, plants, wallpapers, and textiles. Drag pieces into place, mix textures, and submit when happy. Earn rewards, unlock locations, and move through a designer career story. Weekly Limited Series, Pet Events, and the Style Book keep things fresh, setting Venue apart from generic room decoration games.
WHAT KINDS OF ROOMS CAN YOU DESIGN IN VENUE?
Venue covers living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, home offices, outdoor patios, and vacation properties from villas to cabins, penthouses, and cottages, one of the most varied games for house design available. It delivers the kind of range games about designing a house rarely offer.
WHO IS VENUE BUILT FOR?
• Adults looking for interior design games to unwind with after work
• Interior design fans who want home decor play without renovation costs
• Players tired of puzzle mechanics in other house design games
• Casual gamers who enjoy progression without competitive pressure
• iPad and iPhone users who want a polished, touch-first room decorating app

WONDERFUL Design App Created With the Average User in Mind!

I really enjoy design- related apps, as it’s a great opportunity to exercise my creativity in a way that is relaxing. In the past, however, I have deleted all of these types of apps, because either they had an abundance of annoying ads, you had to play other games in order to earn points to be able to keep designing, or otherwise it was just too hard to earn coins or other credit. I am not one that is going to spend actual money to earn rewards, so it’s not enjoyable to have an app that lets you do so little otherwise— or without getting angry at the app itself. 😒 I’ve also seen other apps that are just plain confusing to navigate, which makes no sense to me whatsoever. On the contrary, Venue is super easy to use, incredibly fun, and completely easy to keep playing without interruption (by ads, insufficient coins, etc). I just found this a few days ago, and I am pleasantly addicted. I can’t believe that an app like this actually exists, and I am genuinely so impressed and so grateful!

Fun but Expensive

I actually love this game. Unfortunately, it costs way too much to play. The designs are fun, but just for example, if you spend 4800 to 5000 coins to submit your design, there is a very good chance you’re only going to win back 750 to 1000 coins. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that eventually, you will have to spend money to play this game. If I enjoy a game, I definitely do not mind spending money from time to time or even maybe once a week a little bit here and there. The problem with this game is even when you do spend money you have to continue spending money because you will eventually end up in the rat race of trying to catch up and not able to design as you would like. You do have inventory that you can build up, but they only let you have access to one or two items every now and then so you do not have full access to your inventory. You also get to spin a wheel twice every 24 hours, but sometimes you get something decent and sometimes you don’t. Not really enough to help with gameplay. I wish the developers would understand that they would actually get more if they’d be willing to give more. As it is, I’m seeking out other games to play while I still play this one, but I’m not going to pay to play because I have to. I will because I want to. And with that being said this game is losing out.
Fun - flaws and expensive
Palm trees fun
This is a fun game to design rooms. There are three main problems. First, the description does not always match the picture of the item. When you select that item, the color that appears on the screen is different than the color swatch that you see when selecting your choices. The second problem is glitches in the system. They will have special events where you need to spend a certain number of coins or vote on so many designs, etc. I found that you don’t always get credit for what you do. The third problem is that you use more coins and diamonds than you ever collect. Obviously it’s a game and the developer wants to make money so they put together special bundles for a fee. Not everyone wants to spend a lot of money on gaming when it’s just a way to relax. Most games will give you the option to watch ad videos to get more diamonds or coins. There’s only two areas where you can do that in this game. It reaches a point where it’s no longer fun. You don’t have enough points to create the design that looks good. Other players vote on designs and you earn diamonds/coins. Because you had to use only items that you could afford, you get a low score so you don’t earn very much. It becomes an ongoing spiral of poor designs, nobody votes for you, you don’t earn coins/diamonds, you just run out of money. That’s too close to real life to be any fun.

I enjoy the design aspect of the game. There are some really nice materials and settings to work with. The problem is the finances of each entry. Using all of the cheapest materials, it’s at least $5000 to complete a room. You can get $2000 for submitting a design if you watch a video - $1000 if you don’t. The most you can win for a design is $3000, and that’s if the design is voted 5 stars, which seems rare. Usually, it’s $1250 or $2000. This is for their regular “Chapters” designs. If you play the Live Events, it costs the same while offering a top prize of $1500! You could maybe break even on coins on a regular design if you bought mostly items that cost gems, but those also run out quickly. You can get $1000-$2000 per day for logging in. The only way to play this without spending a lot of real cash is to submit one design per day.UPDATE: I downgraded my review to one star because since I wrote it, the game has robbed me of coins twice - once a video reward that didn’t pay, and once because it just took my submission money twice. I contacted customer service both times. First, I was told to update the game and not credited with my money. The second time, she just copied my report back to me - no refund, no “sorry for your loss, sucker.” Nothing. Game: deleted.
