Welcome to Looks Like Rain! This weather app lets you look at the hourly forecasts for the next 10 days at a glance. Will Tuesday be rainy all day, or just in the evening? Will the sun peak out this weekend? Is that snow coming overnight or in the afternoon? With Looks Like Rain, your next week in weather is easy to see. It also has a quick view of the next few hours, and next-hour precipitation information (if available in your region). Tap on a day to see detailed charts for weather conditions, precipitation, and wind. The basic functionality is free. If you find it useful, a subscription adds the following functionality: - lock screen and home screen widgets - save multiple favourite locations The subscription costs US$10/yearly or US$2/monthly (adjusted to your currency), which helps pay for the weather data service (as well as supporting the developer!) Available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Your subscription supports all your devices, and your favourite locations are synced between your devices using iCloud. I hope you like it! Apple Watch App

As it has been months since the last update, I am hoping that in the next update it will include an Apple Watch app. It would be great to show the temperature, and transition to a rain graph like the app does.

Close, but doesn’t know the difference between clouds and wind

When I got it, Looks Like Rain became the first weather app I looked at. I loved it. It was quick and easy to find out weather conditions. But as springtime came to Oklahoma usually the only thing I can see on the clear/cloudy bar is “windy.” (It’s windy in Oklahoma in the springtime…) As an astronomer, I need to know if it’s going to be clear or cloudy. Yes, wind is important too, but THERE IS A SEPARATE TAB SPECIFICALLY FOR WIND! Don’t tell me it’s windy on the clear/cloudy tab also! I’ll still give this two stars, as aside from this issue, I love it. But as of now, it’s the last weather app I look at, not the first. I will not be renewing my subscription unless they correct this issue. I submitted feedback to the company on this, but haven’t heard anything from them, nor have they changed anything. Just a forecast of “windy” everywhere I look in the app.

A fantastic way to visualize the weather

I’m a photographer so knowing when it’s going to be clear or cloudy is super useful. Rather than trying to read a radar map with laggy cloud data (that doesn’t really show if it’ll be overcast), you just look at a timeline graph of the day, color coded to show if it’s cloudy, hazy, rain, or clear—it’s awesome! This app does the best job at visualizing that data and so far it’s been super accurate. My only wish is that there would be a small widget… perhaps it could show a radial graph? Edit: After using ‘Looks Like Rain’ for a few months now, I find myself wishing the medium widget would show times beneath the graph.

I was a bit leery about downloading yet another weather app. I probably have downloaded at least 10, or more. But Looks Like Rain has become the weather app I open first. It is simple to use and gives me the fastest look at weather conditions of all my apps. For a quick check of the conditions now, and over the next week, this is the best. I paid for the pro version and have half a dozen locations I frequent saved now. I love this app.
