Also be advised, this app does NOT work on lenses with a USB-C connection. It is only for higher end lenses with Bluetooth!Hopefully Viltrox will eventually update to a more compatible data server & offer descriptions in more languages besides Chinese. That could save some of us a lot of time and aggravation.

I don’t think I should have to create an account just to update the firmware on my lens. Even so the app won’t let you create an account even though it requires it, if you create an account on the Viltrox website, it says that works on the app, but it won’t actually login. I can’t even use the verification to login. Is by far the worst iOS app I have ever encountered. I cannot believe this made it through the verification/review process.

I may have missed something in this app, but I can’t seem to figure out how to get an English version. Maybe there is no English version. I do need to update my 16 mm 1.8 Z lens. If I am wrong, can somebody please tell me how to get an English version! Thank you.Update: App now seems broken. Login screen opens and when you press login it goes to a black page and nothing happens.

If there was a half-star rating, that would be too high. Unable to create an account with US phone number or email. I created one via WeChat. Attempted to scan lenses for firmware upgrading but the app could not locate the lenses. This is a stupid waste of time - and the lenses are 100% bricked on my my new Z8 (mysteriously still work on my Z6…)
