This paired with the iOS app is simply sublime

This app is amazing. Everything I could wish for is here. Multiple emails. All of my folders at my finger tips. The ability to schedule when I would like to be reminded to take a look at my emails (this sounds odd, but truly is a remarkable feature). The only things I wish were here was the ability to create new folders underneath each email service (think, receipts, travel, etc) instead of subfolders underneath existing folders. It would also be quite nice to have a tag system as well so that it would be easier to search for things by tag. Lastly, the not so great - this is no deal breaker for me but the AI features are… lackluster to say the least. There’s nothing truly novel going on. And actually the rewrite options (professional, friendly, etc) do not seem to actually do anything. Like I will type a skeleton email and ask it to change things to make sure it’s professional enough and it does.. nothing. And it seems to disable the Apple AI to make it so that I need to copy paste the email to notes and have it rewritten there instead. Weird. It would also be nice if the AI could be used to sort emails into folders as they are marked done and tag the emails for easier searches. But these are things that hopefully could be added in the future. For now, this is awesome.

If you're anything like me, juggling multiple email accounts—from personal, to professional, to startup-related—can quickly spiral into overwhelming chaos. Before Spark, I wasted countless hours manually sorting emails, desperately trying to identify what's important. Even setting up smart mailboxes didn't solve the problem; important emails inevitably slipped through the cracks, leaving me anxious, overwhelmed, and often feeling unprofessional for missing crucial responses.Enter Spark. This app has genuinely revolutionized how I handle my emails. Its AI-driven magic effortlessly identifies what's important, proactively highlights key messages, and even suggests intelligent, ready-to-use responses. What used to be a dreaded 45-minute chore, accompanied by bouts of anxiety, has now become an enjoyable and streamlined experience. Imagine actually looking forward to opening your inbox—I never thought I'd say that!If you're tired of email-induced stress, missed opportunities, or just feeling buried under a mountain of unread messages, do yourself a favor and download Spark. Trust me, it will elevate your productivity, reduce stress, and put you ahead of the game with timely, professional responses. Spark isn't just an email app; it's your secret weapon for staying effortlessly on top of your digital communication!

Improved recently, but still flawed

Spark Mail has genuinely made some improvements lately. The AI features are now using newer models, so the writing more closely reflects my personal writing style, but it is still behind the competition. I still prefer other AI tools like Grammarly for their ability to paraphrase or rewrite my text.I wish they would allow us more control over how the AI tools work. For instance, when writing, it doesn’t give an empty line break between paragraphs like I prefer and it doesn’t learn my habits over time either. I have to use the “break into paragraphs” AI tool to reformat each time I generate large text from a prompt. It is just an unnecessary extra step that could easily be automated. If I could create an agent or instruction set for my preferences or even better, if it had a memory feature for my preferences, it could vastly improve my efficiency even further. It seems like an easy and necessary implementation, since most AI tools already have something like this.As things stand, other email tools, like Gmail, Outlook, or Apple Mail already do or will soon surpass the AI feature set offered by Spark Mail, particularly on the AI front. The full AI feature set is $20/month and at the rate we are going, these larger companies will roll out features for free or relatively little cost. For now, I am keeping my subscription on a monthly basis, because I could see switching to another email client soon if other’ feature sets offer more and provide more control over my workflow.

Hi! Appreciate you sharing such detailed thoughts on the AI features. We hear you on wanting more control, personalization, and fewer extra steps in formatting. That kind of fine-tuning can make a huge difference to daily workflow. Just to check: have you tried enabling Learn My Writing Style in Spark’s AI settings? If you haven’t yet, give it a try and see whether it improves the results for you ✨ To enable it, open Spark Settings - Spark +AI - Writing Assistant - Enable My Writing Style. Kate
My new email client
ORTNPalms
Over the years I’ve moved from one email client to another for iOS and MacOS. Years ago I started with MS Outlook but found problems (such as its inability to access my iOS/MacOS Contacts). I then switched to others including Apple’s own “Mail” app, and Spark and Airmail. I moved away from them for various reasons and adopted Edison email. I love Edison email’s ability to sort my inbox into “Focused” and “Other” sub-boxes. However, Edison email recently announced discontinuation of support for their MacOS version. So I decided to try Spark again. So far, after a few days, I am very pleased with it. It also sorts the inbox into categories that makes prioritizing easy and also makes quickly scanning and trashing other email very easy. One feature that I find particularly helpful is its use of an email account (that the user designates) to set up and sync email accounts between different devices (iPhone, iMac, and iPad). That obviates a lot of setup work. I was particularly pleased that when I downloaded the most recent version of Spark’s email clients for iOS and MacOS they were able to pull all of the configuration details of my email accounts from my old installations of Spark - making the conversion back to it easy as pie!
In this update, we’ve fixed some bugs and made performance tweaks to keep things running smoothly. Update now and get creative! If you’d like to share feedback, we’d love to hear from you at support@sparkmailapp.com.
