Turmoil+ offers players a visually charming, tongue-in-cheek take on the simulation genre inspired by the 19th century oil rush in North America. Get a taste of the rush and rivalry of the time as you earn your way to become a successful oil entrepreneur. As you make money digging up and selling oil, the town will grow along with you.
Lease land at the town auction and search for oil. Build a rig, create an efficient pipe network and bring up the oil to store it in silos. Sell the oil at the best times to maximize profits. Then buy essential upgrades in town to cope with rock, gas and ice. Acquire more town shares than your competitors in a bid to become the new mayor.
- A campaign where you build your rags-to-riches oil baron career and beat your rivals.
- Dozens of upgrades and new tools to improve your oil mining operations.
- Maximize your profits by using natural gas to boost the oil price.
- Outbid your competitors at the stock auction.
- Meet the town’s characters in the saloon and make shady business deals.
- Play single game mode to get one of literally millions of procedurally generated levels and earn as much as you can in one year.
Turmoil+ - The Heat Is On is a new campaign with tons of oil to dig up and convert into cash! It is designed to make you feel right at home, but at the same time offer lots of new mechanics and fun features. Here's what you can expect!
- A new town (and mayor!) and a new oil-rich map divided into three areas.
- In each area, new drilling mechanics are introduced, powered by a new underground substance: magma.
- You'll see familiar faces like Edward and Fred and William. They brought their goods with them in train wagons, so you can instantly stock up on all your favorite drilling gear.
- There are also new people, like Philip, who runs a shady card game in the saloon.
- Jack is a new character that runs a magma tools operation from his shed. He likes chicken.
- Anthony is also back from last time. Instead of dealing in diamonds, he has his own store where you can sell and buy all sorts of underground treasures.
- The new mayor is not quite like the old one. His tips are free, and he uses a different auction system. But shares still cost money!
- There's a cat walking around the village! He doesn't do a whole lot, but what can you expect from these creatures?
- And last but not least: a couple of brand new music tracks!
The metagame in this new DLC-campaign offers more depth. Instead of diamonds, a total of 9 underground treasures are available. Collecting them all (by trading or digging them up) will offer great benefits. Besides this, the village offers even more things to do, like playing a card game for money.
When I first started playing this Turnoil+ I was confused, and didn’t really understand the grand scheme of things. But luckily it was a rainy Saturday. And that means sitting in my phone for hours and hours on end. I got used to the game, created my own strategies, and overall enjoyed the game. I played for so long I beat the game in one day. Now it is time for expert mode! One thing I would critique in this amazing game is, more content por favor. Yes yes, I know that will need time but I think it would be amazing to see some type of curveball in the middle of the campaign. Something like a new person that comes in and tries to help you, or mess you up. Either you could accept his offer of sabotaging your opponents land. Or if you reject him he moves onto the next person. And the next season he doesn’t come to you first, he could go to your opponent, and could sabotage you! That would be cool, and would keep you on the edge of your seat.Overall great game! I had a lot of fun and this will go down in my favorite mobile games, along with pc games.
Amazing absolutely amazing
No no no no
OK, so if you like building games, this is definitely the game for you but now this doesn’t affect the rating because I still think it’s amazing but I’ve experienced one glitch so I bought the game two days ago so we’re going back in time to two days ago so my mom bought this game for me I said thank you then I load into the game I load into my first survival world so I put down this guy holding a stick. He’s walking around, inspecting the ground. I’m waiting for him to do something so then he starts whistling and throwing his hat. So in my brain, I’m like ok? Then I click on him does nothing then I put down a oil thing whatever you call those I can’t remember they collect oil from the ground so I put that down right next to him then I press the option to start digging so then a drill comes and from the bottom of the oil rig starts drilling tubes going down and they’re following my finger so then my finger went over a oil cave, so I thought I think that’s enough digging the drill might find something while it’s digging some more so the drill went over where my finger was right over the oil cave and there’s a bunch of black stuff in there and then in my head I’m like jackpot. I hit a oil cave, so then the drill stops at the very top of the oil cave. Then it starts sucking the oil from the cave. And then my screen goes black so I’m like glitch alert. So I restart the game as any other person would do and then I’m like oh dang it worth it lost all my progress but luckily the game auto saves if you click out of it. Or basically auto saves if you are not in the app so five stars just for the game alone one star for the glitch plus one star for the auto saving mechanics. You don’t have to save it yourself. It’s all mechanical. For the saving part, but I’m sorry for the long review if you made it this far thank you for reading. Definitely recommend the creator of this awesome arcade game. Thank you so much for making this, but maybe you can get rid of the glitch in a future update but otherwise bye I guess…
Fun little game

I enjoyed this fun little game. Just enough strategy without being too crazy complex. I can understand some people might want more of a challenge but I’d say try the expert mode if that’s you (I don’t recall if you need to beat the game on normal to unlock this but if so maybe the devs should consider making it available from the get go). A little buggy though nothing too bad. At one point I zoomed in on the playfield just before a prompt occurred where you have to click on it to dismiss it but because it was offscreen I was stuck as the prompt disables all other input. Had to close the app to recover. Also if you save and quit during a level it doesn’t seem to load back correctly. I am not using Game Center (lockdown mode). Dowsers I had out and waving when I saved seemed to disappear for example. I saved and quit at the start of the final island level. Should have known better. When I opened the game back up it displayed all the game over stuff, and I didn’t get to play the last level at all. Bummer.
Why is nothing explained?!

Yes, before you have the gall to condescend me like you have everyone else that’s left you a slightly bad review, I have completed the tutorial. It’s tedious, grueling, and all in a very difficult to read text. Especially if you were just trying to do it at any speed (before you start complaining to me about that choice; quick and easy to understand tutorials are a hallmark of any semi-decent game! And once again, learning to sew goes at about the same pace as your tutorial!).. nothing important is highlighted. It’s all the same exact color and font….. Honestly your hard pressed to call it a tutorial rather than just a filter for anyone you don’t want to play the game the exact way it needs to be played for your defined version of “fun”…… it’s a king oil knock off, but you haven’t really found the niche to move it to iPad… keep trying, I suppose… I can only imagine the non-Apple Arcade version is a huge cash grab… i’m just lucky they demand you take that out for this version….Also spare yourselves a “developer response”… I can only imagine it’ll be just as half baked as the game
Fixed an issue with the Daily Challenge.
