CopyCat is a private library that lives on your phone. Save the good stuff the moment you see it, tag it, and actually find it again when you sit down to write.
CAPTURE IT HOWEVER YOU FOUND IT
• Share sheet — hit Share in Instagram, TikTok, Notes, Safari or anywhere else and send text, a link, a screenshot or a video straight into CopyCat
• Photo — point your camera at a page, a slide, a billboard, and the text is read off the image right on your device
• Video — record or import a clip and CopyCat reads the on-screen captions frame by frame, merging the repeats into one clean block of text
• Voice — dictate an entry and watch it transcribe as you speak
• Or just type it, or paste it
Every capture ends on one quick edit screen, so nothing reaches your library that you haven't looked at first.
BUILT SO YOU CAN FIND IT AGAIN
• Resurface — shuffle through what you've saved, one entry at a time, for the days you need an idea and don't have a search term
• Search the full text of everything you've saved
• Tags, with suggestions drawn from the words in the entry and the tags you already use
• Sort by newest, oldest or favorites first, or filter down to favorites only
• Label entries as Quote, Tip, Hook, Caption, Idea — or invent your own
• The original photo or video stays attached to the entry it came from
TURN A SAVED LINE INTO A POST
• Quote cards — export any entry as a finished image in Square, Portrait or Story size
• Four themes (Silver, Sunset, Midnight, Paper), three type styles, your own photo as the background, plus frame, alignment and credit-line controls
• Collage — stack two to four entries into a single image
• Batch export — apply one style across many entries, then share or save the whole set at once
• Anything you change on a card affects the image only, never the entry you saved
PRIVATE, AND NOT IN THE MARKETING SENSE
There is no account, no sign-in and no server. Your library sits in this app's private storage on your iPhone and nowhere else. Reading text out of photos and video uses Apple's on-device Vision framework; dictation uses your iPhone's own speech recognizer. Nothing is uploaded for either one. No ads, no analytics SDKs, no tracking. The whole app works in airplane mode.
Back up your library to a file whenever you want — entries, tags and your attached photos and clips, all in one file. It goes to your share sheet, and where it lands from there is entirely your business.
