You can speak a vent now. Hold the mic in the composer and it writes down what you say — it breaks the sentences and drops the ums the same way my keyboard app does, and it leaves whatever you already typed alone. The paywall also says the thing it should have said all along: the first week is free.

Under the hood this time. The app now tells me when a screen opens and when a purchase fails. That's so I can fix what's actually broken instead of guessing at it, which is what I've been doing. It sends counts and events, not what you wrote. Your entries stay on your phone unless you turned cloud backup on.

Today filter on the Vents list There's a Today button above the list now. Tap it and you only see what you wrote since midnight. Tap All to go back. If you haven't written anything yet today, it says so. Also: the app now notes when you open it and how many entries you have, so I can tell whether it's getting used. Counts only. Your entries still stay on your phone unless cloud backup is on.

It used to drop that line whenever it had a notice to give, which was exactly when you needed it.

A vent now ends with a counterweight: the feeling that would offset the one you wrote, and one thing to go and do in the next ten minutes. It comes back in the language you wrote in. The reflection sheet also reopens properly after you drag it closed.

Drag a sheet down and it follows your finger, then closes. It used to just snap shut. The app is now called AI Mood Tracker. Same journal, same entries.

Sign in with Google. Or an email and password. Either way your journal moves with you to a new phone. Sheets close with a swipe down.

Small maintenance release.

No account needed any more. Open the app and start writing. If you want your vents backed up, there is still an account waiting in Settings.

Ventlog now speaks Spanish, French, German and Turkish. If your phone is set to one of them, the app switches over on its own. Emotion tagging follows. Before this, a vent written in any language other than English came back as neutral no matter what was in it; now it is read in the language you wrote it in.

New look. Every screen has been redone. Emotion analysis had stopped working, and vents weren't getting saved with it. That's fixed. Analytics only filled in if you wrote almost every day. Now it works off whatever you've actually written, over 7, 30 or 90 days. Ventlog Pro is new. Your first week of writing is free, then new vents are $3.99 a month. Anything you've already written stays readable for free. It's in Settings.
