The app has a free version and a subscription with extra features. The free version is mainly for part-boarders or co-owners who want access to a horse. They can use the app for free, as long as the horse owner has a subscription and shares access with them. You can subscribe and pay in the App Store, using your Apple ID. Your subscription will renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or turn off auto-renew in your settings by going to the “Manage Subscription” page. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. The subscription will renew at the same cost.

I rarely leave reviews, but this app has genuinely helped transform my horse’s health. Being able to accurately log feed, supplements and calculate calorie needs has taken so much guesswork out of nutrition management. The feed database is incredibly extensive, which makes tracking easy and realistic instead of frustrating.Since using it, I’ve been able to better balance Radio’s diet and finally get his condition and overall health under control. He has lost weight and his coat is looking shinier than ever 🥹. Even Radio’s vet is impressed by his transformation!

I love this app. I’ve used it for some time now, quite successfully. It’s one of the best out there. All of my info on my horse is in this app, but I cannot afford the new subscription model. I’ve always gotten updates from the developers, but this new subscription model just sort of ‘showed up’ unexpectedly. I can no longer enter my info without paying $100+ for a year. Sorry, but Im unable to continue to use this app. It’s a shame :(
Developer Response
Hi dbcmac!Appreciate the feedback. We're sad to see you go. We tried to inform everyone about the change through our newsletter and a push message in the app. Sorry it didn't reach you. To be able to continue to maintain and improve the app we had to switch to a subscription model after keeping it free of charge for 5 years. Hope for your understanding and that we'll see you back sometime in the future. Please reach out to support@haestr.com if you have any questions or feedback for us. Would be grateful to get some constructive feedback from a long time user of HÆSTR.
A smoother onboarding so you can get started faster. Small bug fixes and polish throughout the app.
