This is an incredible app. Like many, I’m messing around with all of the AI models all the time and comparing them to each other and closely tracking advancements etc. Poe is great, but the monthly subscription fee is a little steep, as is OpenAI plus (compared to paying just for api calls). This app has provided me with exactly what I was looking for: a native, fast iPhone app that plugs into OpenAI and Google APIs so I can use their latest models. Now for one thing I haven’t been able to find another app that does this, but the feature that really takes this project to the next level is the OpenRouter integration. The ability to easily access ANY open source/experimental LLM on your iphone is so exciting and powerful and I just really hope this project keeps getting updated. I really respect resisting the impulse to put ads or doing a scammy subscription model and rely on a tips, but I worry that that may not sustain this project sufficiently for regular updates so IDK if you end up liking it as much as I do please tip this guy.

I’m a Model-hopper that’s just getting into beginner AI development, attempting to teach myself the basics the same way I learned HTML & PHP when I was in high school 25 years ago. This app is truly a godsend - it basically walks you through how to add each AI model’s API keys and makes things easy to understand for new AI developers. MUCH more user friendly than many of the alternative apps out there - and MUCH cheaper as well (only 6.99/mo for Pro membership). I’ve yet to run across any ads (even when I was still using the free version), nor have I encountered any errors or bugs. 10/10 would recommend to literally anyone involved with AI.

No real Functionalty
This app is a gift to users. Not only is it free, it’s not collecting data on you, not trying to sell anything, it doesn’t want anything from you. That generosity is rare and appreciated, thank you 🙏🏼.As far as the functionality, it works well. Add your API key and go. Functionality is straightforward, clean, effective.Probably the biggest compromise is voice interaction. The text to speech here is the highest quality so you won’t be annoyed by robot voices. But the back-and-forth interaction is not as smooth as ChatGpt. Its more of a delayed experience, visual cues are not as intuitive, and I wasn’t able to hold a conversation by voice alone. Other areas are more more rich than ChatGPT. For example being able to enter your API key at all, and being able to use a variety of models is something we won’t see coming from OpenAI anytime soon.Overall It’s the best option I’ve seen for my needs.

App is so great I’m actually using it on my Mac. Only a couple downsides: 1) sessions aren’t cloud saved, ie. you lose your conversations between your iPhone and your Mac, 2) copying on Mac is terrible. You click to select some text and the UI turns into a large text field, losing the focus, instead of letting you selecting the small snippet you want, 3) o1-preview and o1-mini calls don’t support streaming.
