TrustNet - Share my location
Don't give up your privacy.
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad
They see that you're okay, not where you are. Your location stays sealed until someone you named has to ask for it. No live map. Nobody watching on an ordinary day.
They see that you're okay. Not where you are.
Every other safety app answers one question, continuously: where is this person right now? That's a window, and once a window exists, somebody looks through it. On an ordinary Tuesday afternoon, when nothing is happening.
TrustNet doesn't have a window.
WHAT YOUR CONTACTS SEE EVERY DAY
Your name, and one line: how recently your location updated. Not where you are. There is no map, because we never built one. At 2am your sister doesn't need to know which bar you're in. She needs to know your phone was alive four minutes ago.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GO MISSING
Your phone quietly records a point when you meaningfully move. Those records are encrypted and stored away from your device, and only the most recent 3 days exist. A contact you named can request them. Their identity is verified by email, and you are notified that they asked. That is the only path to the places you have been, and every use of it leaves a record.
IF YOU CAN REACH YOUR PHONE
Open TrustNet and send an SOS. Your location goes straight to your contacts, in their app and by email. It does require opening the app. Every panic button has that limit and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
WHY IT IS BUILT THIS WAY
The people who need finding usually cannot press anything. Asleep, hurt, held, or simply not home yet. A protection that depends on you acting in the worst moment of your life is not much of a protection.
WHAT WE WILL NEVER DO
- Sell or share your location data
- Give your contacts a live map, or any way to check on you casually
- Release your records without a verified request from someone you named, and without telling you
- Keep your records beyond 3 days
- Use a real emergency in our marketing
And what we will not pretend: we do store your location. Regularly. That is the product. The promise is not that nothing is kept. It is that nobody gets to look.
Delete your account and every location record whenever you want.

Rebuilt interface. Fewer steps to what you need when you are in a hurry, and a clearer setup for your trusted contacts.
How it works:
Your contacts see that you are okay, not where you are. Your name, and when your location last updated. There is no map.
Your location records are encrypted and stored off your device. They open only when a contact you named requests them, with their identity verified and a notification sent to you.
