Time measurement system of Indian almanac is different from the Western or Gregorian calendar. Ancient texts especially the famous purana "Shreemad Bhaghavatam" in Chapter 11 , Skand 3 describes in detail this aspect of time. Total day is further divided into 'Pal', Vipal','Ghatika', 'Prahar'. Auspi Watch takes into consideration all these subtelities. 1 Vipal/Nimish = 0.53 of Seconds, is actually derived from blinking of an Eye for a Healthy Adult. The calculation of time for everyday begins with the Sunrise at specific Location, this is the crucial link between Human body, Current Location and the Celestial bodies like Sun, Moon etc. Auspi Ghatika automatically resets everyday with respect to the local time of Sunrise. Then it will tell you exact time position up to 'Vipal'.
