Soccer referee app for Apple Watch. Developed with the German FA (DFB). 3-in-1 timer, smart match logging in seconds, AI fitness / running analysis, powered by Strava. Soccer Referee Timer by WTSB turns Apple Watch into a powerful tool for soccer referees. You do not need your iPhone during the match: manage match time, stoppage time, goals, cards, temporary dismissals, substitutions and penalty shootouts directly from your wrist. After the final whistle, the match is saved and transferred automatically to your iPhone. TIME AND EVENTS UNDER CONTROL The flexible match timer supports one to four periods, countdown or open-ended timing, and customizable match and break lengths. When play is delayed by an injury, goal celebration or another interruption, the app measures the lost time and calculates your recommended stoppage time. Clear haptic alerts notify you when regulation time ends, calculated stoppage time is reached, the break is over or a temporary dismissal has expired – so your attention can remain on the match. Record goals with scorer, penalty or own-goal details, yellow, second-yellow and red cards with reasons, disciplinary action against team officials, and multiple simultaneous temporary dismissals. Custom card reasons can be prepared in advance. Manage lineups, captains and goalkeepers, multiple substitutions, return substitutions and late roster additions, as well as extra time and penalty shootouts. Short voice notes can be attached to cards and temporary dismissals directly from the watch. Match suspensions and abandoned matches are documented too. THE COMPLETE MATCH REPORT The live match report presents every event chronologically and can be reviewed on Apple Watch. On iPhone, it becomes a clear, color-coded report containing halftime and final scores, stoppage time, goals, cards, substitutions, lineups, voice notes and shootout results. Events can be added, corrected or removed after the match, with the score and statistics updating automatically. FITNESS, MOVEMENT AND AI ANALYSIS With fitness and location tracking enabled, a workout starts automatically at kickoff. Apple Watch records heart rate, distance, speed, running power and active calories and saves the workout to Apple Health. The app can also capture the venue, weather and GPS route. On iPhone, explore your movement on an interactive map with route playback, heatmap, detected movement corridor, event locations and sprint analysis. AI-assisted performance analysis combines your fitness data into a Performance Score and visualizes activity, explosiveness and fatigue throughout the match. Compare each performance with previous matches, identify peak-load phases and track your development. The dashboard summarizes your entire refereeing career, including matches, time on the field, goals, cards, stoppage time, distance, venues, speed and performance. SHARE AND CONNECT Share match reports, workout data, heatmaps and sprints as ready-made story graphics. Relive your season with Season Replay and create a personalized referee trading card. Matches can also be uploaded to Strava. Lineup links import rosters and match formats from supported competition software, while the AI Help Chat answers questions about the app and the Laws of the Game with source references. Complications and the Apple Watch Ultra Action Button provide fast access, while an iPhone widget displays key career statistics on your Home Screen. Inexpensive solution for tracking youth sport scores

Several of my relatives are involved in youth sports. I like going to the games but they are long and I inevitably lose track of the score. I bought this specifically for the score tracking so I can’t speak to the game timing function. But the score tracking works great. Just open the app on your watch and go back to what you’re doing. Every time someone scores, just tap the screen. Worked really well for me. App creator is very responsive and even added some features that I had requested. Definitely worth the $0.99 if you’re in a similar situation.

Love this app! Definitely helps me keep track of the score as a coach as well so I’m not pestering the AR for time or the score. Would be 5 stars but the most recent update causes the app to crash before it even finishes loading. Hopefully that gets fixed before the fall season starts.

Highly recommend this app (as of Sep 2024, offered with great pricing) to my fellow referees. The only thing I don’t like about this app is its name. I wish it was a little bit more professional. That aside, it is a wonderful app and it does everything other apps fail to provide, even through expensive subscription. As long as the price of the app stay reasonable, I don’t see myself using anything else. Update: today, on October 3, 2024, the new edition of the app was launched and it caused major issue/bugs in the app. The clock reset to 1minutes and one half only and it left me with no solution in the middle of the match. There is also no contact information to directly send this to the developer. Fix this. I have an annual subscription.Update: thanks for replying. It wasn’t the reset of the app. I would set up the game configuration (time, jersey color, …) and once I start the match, it would all reset to 1’ match and one half and all the jersey colors would go back to the blue and red. This happened during the match. I reset everything again, and it happened again. But, I used the app yesterday again and there was no issue. Thank you!

That’s understandably very frustrating. I generally release updates at non-critical times to avoid such issues. Version 3.0 was released at 3 AM (EST). However, the distribution is controlled by Apple, and I have no influence over that. So it’s possible that the update reached you much later.To prevent this from happening in future matches, there are a few things you can do: Disable automatic updates on your iPhone before the game (Settings > App Store > App Updates), and turn off cellular and Bluetooth on your Watch shortly before the game.Thank you for letting me know about the changed default setting (1 minute game time / 1 half). I was working with that in development and forgot to reset it before the release. It’s fixed and will be corrected in the update tonight (October 5).You can always reach me at support@whatsthescorebro.com if you have any other questions or concerns.Thank you for using my appThilo
