Vetero is a weather app built only for the Mac. Stay on top of the weather with current conditions shown right in your menu bar.
Official severe weather warnings from the National Weather Service are free for everyone — not a Plus feature. You see them in the menu bar and on the forecast, and the most serious ones are Time Sensitive, so they arrive even during a Focus.
Key features:
• Everything in one popover: feels-like, precipitation, wind, pressure, UV, humidity and the condition — no tabs, nothing to scroll for.
• Hour by hour: a strip you scroll sideways, so the popover stays the same height however many hours you ask for.
• Chance of rain by the hour: a chart for the next two days showing when to expect it.
• Sunrise and sunset: the sun's real path across the day, with today's high and low as a range.
• A menu bar you configure: you decide what appears up there — temperature, a condition symbol and a warning badge, with feels-like, wind, humidity, pressure and UV in Plus.
• A forecast for your location: precise, wherever you happen to be.

Vetero is free. Vetero Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription: it refreshes your forecast continuously instead of every couple of hours, and unlocks the full hourly strip, the rain chart, rain by the minute, and the extra readings in the menu bar.

Severe weather warnings, free for everyone.
Vetero now shows official warnings from the National Weather Service. They appear in the menu bar, on the forecast, and as a notification that gets through Focus, so a storm or a heatwave reaches you even when nothing else does.
The forecast is graphical now:
– The hourly forecast is a strip you scroll sideways, so the window stays the same height however many hours you ask for.
– A chart of how likely rain is, hour by hour, for the next two days.
– Rain by the minute for the hour ahead, with when it starts and stops.
– The sun's real path across the day, moving as the day does.
– Today's high and low as a range, and the pressure trend at a glance.
Also in this update:
– Vetero speaks 12 languages.
– A new app icon, with dark and tinted versions for macOS 26.
– Notifications have a settings pane of their own.
– The settings window comes to the front when you open it, and there is only ever one of it.
– The popover opens already showing the weather.
– Vetero holds still if you've asked macOS for less motion.
– The forecast still arrives when minute-by-minute rain isn't available where you are.
