Keep the moment. Fix the blink. Open Eyes uses AI to open closed eyes in your photos. Choose a photo, select the person and let the app create an edit. You can also add photos of the same person with open eyes as a reference. Try a different iris color and adjust how subtle or intense it looks. Compare the before and after, keep your edits in the app’s gallery, then save or share the result. Pro lets you export at full quality without the Open Eyes logo. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. The price is shown before purchase, and you can manage your subscription in the App Store. Not Working

This app lets me choose a photo with closed eyes, then choose another photo with Open Eyes. The app then allows me to rotate and fine-tune their position. At that point everything looks fantastic, then after pressing The “generate“ button, the eyes turn into something from the elephant man. I’ve tried with different photos and different effects (generate and swap). Am I doing something wrong? If I could skip the generate step by zooming out and taking a screenshot, everything would be perfect.

Looks ridiculous

First I used the AI Generation to try to fix my daughter’s closed eyes in an important graduation photo, it looked cartoonishly ridiculous, even as a tiny thumbnail you could immediately see the eyes looked like someone had used a joke image editor. Then I used the Face Swap solution, which is semi-manual. You pick the other photo, and by hand translate and rotate each eye as an overlay, then the app does some ‘magic’ and you get a photo. I had taken other shots and so was able to get some eyes that worked with a little resizing and tilting. It looked okay. I tried to download the result, but the app then went into ‘magic’ mode, and messed it up, giving it a completely bizarre look. Waste of money. I guess they get by on everyone paying $5.99 and then canceling. Not a bad business.

Internal server error

Thought this was a great app to open the eyes on a bride and groom. At first it was working great and I didn’t mind paying for the subscription while I was editing the photos. All of a sudden it wouldn’t let me fix anymore pics. It kept popping up saying internal server error. I definitely don’t want to pay for something that keeps saying error. Now I need to find something else to help open their eyes.

Ethnicity erased

First of all the entire app is ridiculous , it doesn’t just change the pupils, it lifts the entirety of the orbit of the eye and the nose, my amazingly well made nose, bump and all were straightened, which by the way I spent my youth begging my parents for a nose job only to be ever so gratefully ignored, but I digress, this app gave me a perfectly straight nose and not only that but the eyes it replaced with mine looked older, had hooded eyelids and looked tired. This app is supposed to be about the eye itself, but it changes more than that, it seems to erase ethnicity from the equation. Not good!

We refreshed the design to make fixing your photos easier.
