I started off my job hunt with a file in Apple notes and a lot of frustration. I then saw JobSnail and gave it a try-I am grateful I did. After over a 100 applications, a bunch of rejections, a good amount of interviews and finally the offers I wanted-I feel appreciative of the help JobSnail gave me. I no longer felt overwhelmed wth all the details of each job posting. It has an easy to sue interface and nice simple charting. The app as of now works and is great-I look forward to the developer adding even more features in the future-butI I really hope I don’t need to use the app for a very long time!

I've been using JobSnail for about two months to track my job applications, and while the idea is solid, the execution falls short. The app's simple interface makes it easy to add jobs, assign statuses with color codes, upload resumes/cover letters, and view basic stats like a pie chart for progress. It's better than juggling spreadsheets or notes apps, and the backup/restore feature is a nice touch for data security.However, there are some frustrating issues. The company names in the sidebar often get truncated (e.g., "Rogers" shows as "Rog..."), and there's no way to adjust font sizes or resize elements to make them fully visible—even after trying macOS resolution changes and zoom shortcuts. This makes navigation clunky, especially with longer entries. The design feels outdated and unpolished compared to what I expected from the screenshots, and I haven't seen any updates since purchase to address these problems. The promised sync with the free web version sounds great, but if the macOS side has these glitches, it undermines the whole experience.It's a shame because this could be a great tool with some refinements. For $1.99, it's cheap, but I'd wait for fixes before recommending it. Developer, please add UI customization!

Job search is extremely overwhelming now. I have tried building multiple ways to track everything. I have apple notes, excel, obsidian tracker. Everything. I am constantly trying to track everything when I have sprints of applying to job apps. This application is just what I was looking for, simple, effective at organizing everything in a single location. Adding attachments for custom resumes/ cover letters. Will continue to utilize and update this review as I familiarize myself with it. But so far, its great!

This is an absolute must have app and Apple should give this a best in class rating. Like multiple other reviews I have used multiple other tools to try and track my job search (required for unemployment) and nothing comes close to JobSnail.
