Mylo Speech Buddy is a video modeling app that helps toddlers and young children who are late talkers, on
the autism spectrum, or living with speech delays move from 0 to their first words — and beyond. It is built to
work alongside your child’s speech therapist, not to replace them.
Mylo is not a replacement for speech therapy. If you have concerns about your child’s speech or language,
please see a licensed speech-language pathologist. Mylo gives you a structured way to practice at home and
to see progress between sessions.
WHY VIDEO MODELING?
Video modeling is one of the most researched teaching methods for children with autism and language delays.
A child watches a peer say a word or complete an action on video, then imitates it. It is recognized as an
evidence-based practice by the National Professional Development Center on Autism Spectrum Disorder and
the National Autism Center, and it is a method speech therapists already use in clinics. Mylo brings it home in
short, repeatable clips a child can watch and copy.
