臺灣地震速報 Taiwan Earthquake Early Warning (EEW)
〈 Real-Time Strong Earthquake Alerts 〉
Get earthquake data from the Central Weather Bureau immediately after an earthquake occurs, displaying a countdown and estimated local intensity. Push notifications with alarm sounds provide you with crucial seconds to prepare and respond to an earthquake.
You can customize the earthquake alert threshold, ensuring you never miss a moderate or small earthquake that might be overlooked by national alerts.
※ Earthquake Warning Criteria: Magnitude 4.5 or above and/or estimated intensity of 3 or higher in any area nationwide.
※ The "CRITICAL Notifications" feature is limited to moderate or large earthquakes with an estimated intensity of 3 or higher.
〈 Earthquake Reports 〉
This feature will return in a future update, stay tuned!
※ Earthquake warnings may have inaccuracies and false alarms. Use them as a reference during emergencies, and rely on the Central Weather Bureau's final earthquake report.
※ This application is currently in the testing phase, and some features and information may contain errors. We appreciate your understanding.

bug in current version 9/2024
wateringlawn
there’s a notification bug in the current version, reach out if I can help
New:
1. First-launch setup for your alert district and notification permissions. If you do not have auto-location on, it also appears once after upgrading so you can confirm your district is right.
2. Your location and the direction you are facing, shown on the alert map.
3. P-wave and S-wave fronts drawn on the map, with the epicentre blinking while an earthquake is in progress.
4. A new floating alert card on iOS 17 and later — drag it and the map reframes to match.
5. Separate map framing preferences for the expanded and the collapsed card.
6. Drill, system and test alerts can now be silenced.
7. Drill, test, system, cancellation and error reports are labelled in the alert header.
Improvements:
1. The map frames you and the epicentre together, falling back to the whole island when you are outside Taiwan.
2. Denser, more legible alert card; the status bar now alternates with what to actually do.
3. The agency is now named CWA, formerly CWB.
Fixes:
1. Donation prices showed the wrong currency outside Taiwan.
2. Earthquake details did not refresh immediately after changing your alert district.
3. Japanese names for two notification settings did not match iOS.
