your turn. draw a card. the small talk ran out? 10,000+ questions in 60+ decks for date night, friends and family. plays offline, no account.
your turn. draw a card.
when the small talk runs out, the card picks up. openers is a question card game you play together on one phone: someone draws, someone asks, everyone answers. start fun, stay casual or go deep. you pick how far tonight goes.
60+ decks, 10,000+ questions
date night, double date, first date, pillow talk (for couples), long distance, family gathering, ask your parents, road tripping, campfire conversations, hot takes, would you rather, group mingle, big questions and more. most decks have three levels, fun, casual and deep, and you pick which ones are in play.
make your own deck
tell openers what tonight is ("my sister's 30th, old friends, a little nostalgic") and get a deck written for it. read every card, swap any you don't like, report one that feels off, then name it, give it a cover and play. writing a deck needs a connection; on iPhones with Apple Intelligence it can write on the phone instead, no connection needed. custom decks are english only for now.
question video
film your answer with the question on screen, then save it to your photos or send it. asks for your camera and microphone.
turn the phone sideways
the question fills the screen so the whole table can read it. on iPad, turn it sideways and the deck and the question sit side by side.
share a question
send the card as a picture for a story or a post.
plan (beta)
a shared calendar for your people. pick a night, send the link or a code, bring a deck. no account needed; sending a plan needs a connection.
on your wrist and lock screen
an Apple Watch app (in English) shows the question (swipe or turn the crown for the next one), widgets keep it on your home screen, and you can turn on a Live Activity for the lock screen.
trophies
quiet Game Center trophies, all earned by talking.
works anywhere
no account, no sign-in. the ready-made decks are built into the app, so the ones you've unlocked play in airplane mode, on road trips, at the cabin with no wifi. 11 languages. iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
free and paid
free: the starter pack (30 questions across all three levels), question video, and your first custom decks. a subscription (monthly or yearly, with 7 days free to start) or a one-time lifetime purchase unlocks all 60+ decks, every color pair and app icon, and more custom decks every month.
subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends. manage or cancel any time in your Apple Account settings.

I love talking, maybe too much, and this app has allowed to me to love talking even more. I no longer have to attempt to dive into my cluttered mind to grasp at engaging conversation. I just click a few buttons and have topics to discuss for hours. I use Engaged and Exploring to connect on a deeper level with my fiancée. I use these Downtime Chats to get to know coworkers better. I even open the app up when I am bored to ask myself some questions because they are all so thought provoking. A big thanks to the team at Opnrs for putting together an app that helps us connect to one another in an exceedingly disconnected world.
Game changer for conversations!
Mainelychelsea
Opnrs has completely changed the way I connect with people. The prompts are thoughtful, engaging, and work in any setting whether I’m networking, meeting someone new, or deepening a friendship. It makes conversations feel effortless and natural, and I’m constantly surprised by how quickly it helps build real connections. The app is beautifully designed, easy to navigate, and packed with creative ideas. If you ever feel stuck for what to say or just want to have more meaningful conversations, this is the app to get!
Why I’ve Been Loving OPNRS
Dyesa Policarpio
I’ve been using OPNRS lately and it’s honestly been such a handy app to have, especially when you’re on the go. I love how it creates space for real conversations, whether it’s something deep and meaningful or just fun random talks with whoever you’re with. It’s such a simple but thoughtful idea that makes connecting with people feel more natural and intentional. Definitely one of those apps you don’t realize you need until you start using it.
Finally something my kids ask for
Gilbert mama
Mom of three. My husband and I have been trying to do more offline activities together as a family and this is one of the few apps that actually helps with that instead of competing for everyone's attention. The kids ask for it now, which I genuinely didnt think was possible with anything that lives on a phone.
