The app is free to download, and no subscription is required to search for and read cases. An affordable subscription unlocks the more powerful features: AI chat, opinion comparison, and AI-generated tables of contents; navigating between cases; multiple tabs or windows; exporting formatted documents; history and bookmarks; and customized formatting and appearance, including dark mode.
A NOTE ON THE DATA
The cases presented by Case Viewer come from public sources that may contain errors—most commonly in text-based versions of state cases, which rely on uncorrected OCR. Use your judgment and check the reporter PDFs (generally available within the app) as needed.
This is easily the single greatest app I have ever engaged with and gives me optimism about the future we can create with technology - I have grown tremendously as a legal thinker in virtue of being able to quickly summon case text directly and engage with it on it’s own term.
