I’m very impressed with how well the first iteration of this mobile app for Pearson Academy Works. However, I have noticed a few small bugs.Individual class recordings that I had previously watched via web browser remained in my “continue watching” section of the app for some reason until I’ve finished watching the last five seconds ish of each. It also appears to be missing a pretty standard feature of leaving the app should not stop video or audio playing. It should go into either the Picture in Picture mode or continue playing the audio in the background, depending on if the user navigates to a different app or locks the screen, respectively. This could also probably be a toggle in the app settings.It’d be handy to include options from a long press on a video from a course to “mark as watched” or to “restart course” or “view course” “view other courses by instructor” etc. similar options can and should be added for course tiles. That’s all I got for now. More is likely, I love beta testing and giving feedback.

A door has been opened for me, and I would be a fool to close it. I never imagined I would be actively looking to read what once I would have called, “boring old books written by boring old men”. But the recommended texts by each professor have proven useful to deepening my understanding, they have thrust open the doors to the library. Never again shall I be foolish enough to assume that a library, though a fine idea in principle, is filled with nonsense in practice. Age is in their favor, and the books collecting dust on their shelves have been faithfully kept by their keepers. God bless the keepers of the library, and God bless the fine men and women who brought Peterson Academy to a world in dire need of it.

Peterson Academy is so amazing. When I went to college, I felt limited by what I could take and stressed and burdened by the workload and the expense! With PA, I can follow my interest, taking all the courses I want to take; I can relax and absorb the info without worrying about exams; and the price is a steal! I feel so much more informed about the world and why it is the way it is, and I feel better equipped to hold my own in casual discussions and serious debate. As an added bonus, I waste far less time scrolling on social media because I have immediate access to satisfying, high-quality content. If you want to be a more informed and intelligent person in the world, it’s here for the taking at Peterson Academy.

I’ve known the app has been in development for sometime and I’ve been looking forward to it ever since I knew it was in the works. I just found out today that it was live and grabbed it immediately. I’ve already listened to one lecture and already am quite a way into a second lecture and I’m loving this app. It’s so great and I love that. You can download things on Wi-Fi to listen to later. That’s a big help for those of us that are on the road constantly. Massive kudos to the team working behind the scenes to make all the stuff possible y’all have done an amazing job. Keep it up! May you all see continued success!
