Yet another subscription app…this time for a camera??? I don’t know if it is Apple pushing developers to do this, or if it is their own greed, but who is actually paying a subscription for an app that does not have continuously changing content, or at least access to a wide array of professional-level tools or content that could not be found elsewhere? Out of the many apps I have, I literally have ONE subscription app -a news for kids app which has five new daily news articles and accompanying content for those articles like photos, videos, and comprehension questions to test understanding of the content. But a subscription for camera filters? I am not paying a subscription for that, and no one else should, either.

Controls are very intrusive

I tried this App sometime ago and offloaded it. Thought I would try again after seeing it on App of the day. No thanks, the controls are terribly intrusive even when reduced. Also there is a noticable lag time in the response when an adjustment is made.

Fake free offer

To make us install the app, they gave us a free offer and then started prompting for a subscription. There are reputable applications that were distributed for free at their initial launch years ago; they have evolved remarkably over time, yet their developers have remained true to their word regarding the users to whom the apps were originally offered at no cost.

Developer Response
Hello! Thank you for your feedback. The app was originally released with a smaller set of tools and was completely free. Since then, we have significantly expanded its functionality and continue to add new tools. Some advanced features are now included in an optional subscription, while most of the app’s features remain free. We apologize if this was not communicated clearly.Best regards,The Photo Editor Team
