Chapters are out of beta! - You can now see the progress of where you are in the chapter in the chapters screen. - The transcript has chapter titles for easier navigation. - The player progress bar now shows bookmarks with small orange dots. Try it by creating a bookmark. - When you search the transcripts, you can now see at a glance where the found segments are. - Web app now has transcripts. Copy the episode or podcast link from the app and paste it in the browser to see the full transcript.

This version has a big new feature! - Episodes now have chapters (beta). Tap the chapter name right above the progress bar to see the list and tap a chapter to jump to it. This feature is available for episodes that podcasters provided chapters for. Premium users will also see AI-generated chapters once the transcript generation is finished. - New color scheme. We made the app a bit more stylish with darker colors. - Run Metacast on a Mac. You can install the app from the MacOS App Store and run it on your computer.

With the first release of the year, we're shipping some exciting new features! 1) "Following" playlist a.k.a. episode inbox - this playlist shows new episodes from the podcasts you follow. It's great as a "triage queue" - go to Playlists - Following, pick the episodes you want to listen to, add them to Listen Later, and clear the "inbox" to keep it clean. New episodes are kept in the Following playlist for 14 days for all users. 2) View all podcasts you follow - if you follow more than 30 podcasts, you'd know that you could only see 30 on Home. No more. Tap "view all" to see all the podcasts you follow! 3) Add to Listen Later with a single tap - see that plus button next to an episode? Just tap it to add the episode to the Listen Later playlist. 4) Business as usual - minor UX tweaks and bugfixes across the board.

New features alert! 1) Sleep timer - you asked for it; we built it. Now you can doze off to your favorite white noise, sounds of nature, or any other podcast. 2) Downloads can now be grouped by podcast, so you can find episodes more easily. Tap the "grid" icon next to search in the Downloads playlist to activate the grouping. 3) Redesigned action buttons for episodes - previously, the add to playlist, download and share buttons were hidden in a menu. In this release, we made a few UI improvements: - The transcript search button is now more prominent. It's now literally at your fingertip! This release brings 3 new features and 2 UX improvements! New features: 1) Improved speed control. You can now use an intuitive slider in the player to set the speed anywhere from 0.5x to 4x. 2) Group by podcast in the Listen Later playlist. You can now easily find episodes you saved for later from a particular podcast. Tap the "tiles" icon next to the search bar to switch to the new view. 3) OPML Import. If you're moving from another app and are a premium subscriber of Metacast, we can import your OPML file into Metacast. Go to Settings and tap "Import podcasts from OPML." UX Improvements: 1) Quicker adding an episode to a playlist. When you swipe an episode and add it to Listen Later, the app will no longer show the confirmation message. 2) Cleaner animation on episode removal. When you swipe an episode to delete it from any playlist, the animation looks cleaner. It's a small nit, but we thought it was important to mention nevertheless!
