Read the NAB Bible, ask questions in private Bible chat, create prayers, and get verse explanations to help you study and reflect. New American Bible Revised Edition (NABRE) with AI Bible chat, full audio, a community prayer wall, and the whole Catholic canon offline. The NABRE is the Catholic translation approved by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The New Testament was revised in 1986, and the Old Testament revision was completed in 2011. WHAT IS INSIDE- - BIBLE AUDIO: clear narration for every chapter - listen while driving, walking, or falling asleep - AI BIBLE CHAT: ask anything about Scripture or your own faith and get a thoughtful answer in seconds - AI VERSE EXPLANATION: tap any verse for plain-language context, cross-references, and a prayer prompt - PRAYER: a library of prayers for the morning, the night, and the hard days in between - CUSTOM PRAYER: write your own prayer in your own words, save it, and return to it whenever you need it - COMMUNITY PRAYER WALL: ask for prayer when you are carrying something heavy, and pray alongside other people who have asked for the same - READING STREAK: a gentle daily streak that turns "I should read more" into a habit you actually keep - MOOD VERSES: tell the app how you feel - anxious, grateful, grieving, hopeful and get Scripture that meets you there - BIBLE QUOTES: a curated library of short, memorable lines to carry through the day - VERSE WALLPAPER: turn any verse into a beautiful wallpaper or a shareable image - VERSE OF THE DAY: one passage each morning to anchor everything that comes after it - BIBLE CALENDAR: see your reading history at a glance and pick up exactly where you left off - OFFLINE ACCESS: the entire Bible works with no signal - on a plane, on retreat, anywhere - HIGHLIGHT, BOOKMARK, AND NOTE: mark what speaks to you and find it again in one tap - NIGHT MODE: a dark, low-glare screen for late reading and early mornings - EXPORT AND IMPORT: carry your highlights, bookmarks, and notes to a new device - AD-FREE OPTION: remove every ad and keep the page quiet WHY THE NABRE The NABRE carries the full Catholic canon - Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, and both books of Maccabees - in modern English that reads cleanly out loud. If you have ever opened a Bible app and found seven books missing, this is the one that has them. FOR EVERYONE Whether you are a lifelong Catholic, a returning believer, a confirmation student, an RCIA candidate, a parent reading with your family, or simply curious about Catholic Scripture, the NABRE meets you where you are - and the app gives you the tools to make it personal. "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path." (Psalm 119:105, NABRE) PREMIUM - OPTIONAL Unlock additional features through available premium plans. I loved this app. Read my Bible and was able to “mark as read” when I finished a section. I decided to download onto my iPad also, thinking that I could go back and forth from my phone to my IPad. I was asked to register and tried to on both my iPhone and iPad. Keep getting the same error message. No i am using a Catholic NAB app on both my iPhone and iPad. I lost my ability to “mark as read;” however, now at least I can read it. Btw… I uninstalled, reinstalled, climbed 50 trees, and ate a jar of jalapeños (just kidding about the last two) to no avail. App doesn’t work!

The selection for audio does not offer a preference for speed. I understand that the Bible is to pray with it. However, the option should be offered and let the consumer make that decision based on personal preferences.

In the beginning, it says it reads to you. Well, I’m pretty good about using apps and digging into everything. There was nothing to be found about reading to you except for in the quotes and it still didn’t read it to you.
