Was asked 4 times in just opening the app to leave a review then to buy the WEEKLY $3.20 “premium”. Well here’s the review that was insisted upon. I attempted to scan a 1944 Philly wheat penny to try out the app and see if I missed anything and was told the coin was actually from 1920 and had no value, tried to retake the picture of the obverse to hopefully recapture the 1944 date and was told it requires premium to retake a picture.

If the date was hard to read in the image, it may have matched a similar coin design. We’re continuously improving our identification accuracy. About free usage of the app: every user gets one free coin identification - no subscription required (it’s mentioned in the Q&A section on the app’s Settings screen, Question 3). After the free identification is used and if you’d like to continue identifying coins using the app, we offer a subscription with a completely free 3-day trial period (which you can cancel anytime - no charges if canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. I tested this app out and, not only are the photos blurry, but nothing came up when I hit “identify.” Just a blank page. No point in going further.

Coin identification results now appear correctly after tapping “Identify.” Regarding photo quality - our app displays your photos as-is without modification, so for best results, use well-lit images that aren’t blurry or cropped. The first one I tried would not work. Kept giving me the wrong year and after several attempts I gave up.
- Fixed an issue where the coin info screen could appear blank after coin identification.
- Improved coin identification accuracy.
