dispite being ages 17+ there are many YA books although I wish it had an audio book mode that was free and it has many books I have to read for school

This app is great for picking up and reading things- I’ve read quite a few things myself already and the experience is well-done. But the search for specific books or authors does not work at all, just showing the most “popular” books regardless of what you search, meaning it’s hard to find any particular book at all. It may have a big selection but there’s not much point if you can’t search for it.

Dark mode?

It’s an amazing app, I love it so much, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to turn on a dark mode, and the light mode hurts my eyes. Is there a way to add the feature? Or is the feature hidden somewhere in the app and I just can’t look. Overall amazing app though, have loved reading on it so far.

App-wide Dark Mode isn’t available in FreeBooks yet, but it’s a top priority and we’re actively working on adding it in an upcoming update to make reading more comfortable, especially at night.In the meantime, you can already customize the reader colors: while reading, tap the screen, tap the menu button in the bottom-right, then tap Customise View to adjust the appearance to something easier on your eyes.We really appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback, and we’re excited to get Dark Mode into your hands soon. I wish the books had pages. As someone who tracks the amount I read in pages, not chapters, I would appreciate if you could add a page function for the readers that want it along with the chapter layout for the readers that like that format
