ImageTracker lets you add image widgets to your Home Screen with live images from the web which update with realtime information. You can use it to track a weather cameras, various charts and figures, or anything live image you can think of!
ImageTracker is the spiritual successor of SlothCam, the original webcam app for Dashboard, MacOS, and iOS, and it offers similar features to SlothCam, but in a modern Home Screen Widget format.
With this app you can create widgets using any live image from the web (jpeg, jpg, png URLs). Whether it’s a satellite image of the Earth, a real-time weather forecast, space weather charts showing aurora data, or a live webcam feed, this app allows you to create dynamic widgets with live content from the web.
To install a Home Screen Widget, tap and hold on your Home Screen until the icons jiggle and press + to add a widget. Once you add the widget, you can tap it while in Home Screen edit mode and add a custom URL to the widget.

This is a very interesting app because it’s the only one I found that lets you put webcam images on widgets. I like the default satellite map, but I’ve also included several cameras around town so I can see traffic conditions, weather conditions in the harbor and other things. I find it super cool to be scrolling on your home screen and see a live image from a webcam!

This app is a super useful way to display live webcams on my Home Screen. I love the default satellite image of the earth but I also use it to check on a snow cam at my my favorite ski resort.
