This is an amazing piece of software the developer has put their heart and soul into. This has primarily replaced almost anything I’d normally use a pen and paper for. I use it primarily for taking notes in class and journaling, occasionally to make to-do lists and scribbling things I need to keep a track of (Excellent for ADHD). The developer is amazing a responds to questions, concerns and feedback almost immediately. The only 2 features which make me go back to GoodNotes is the lack of support for converting , your notebook to LaTex and the lack of a zoom video with an auto advance feature allowing me to keep my notes tidy and write complex differential equations or working with proofs etc. (kinda important for STEM majors). Other than that kudos to the dev and thank you for making such an amazing application. P.S. Noteful gets a lot of reviews as inexpensive alternative to GoodNotes/ Notability but I find that this application is richer and very intuitive to use. And, my handwriting looks a lot better on UltraNotes compared to Noteful which seems crude in comparison.

I have been a long time user of Callanote, but I needed a change. That app wasn’t working for me anymore - too complicated to use. And I have been experiencing technical difficulties with that app. I have tried others too, but so far I am loving Ultra so far. It is simple and easy to use. I have had no technical problems so far. I also really like how my apple pen feels in my hand when I write with it. Sometimes, it really feels like I’m writing with a marker! Super Impressed! I am also LOVING how you can categorize the notes and create new categories. Super easy to access and find. I will be using this for my master’s program studies and possibly for daily journaling. I never leave reviews for apps and such, but I just had to for this app. Well done creators! Thanks for giving us a seemingly easy app to use :)

I’m always trying new note taking apps on the iPad looking for the ‘perfect one” but always struggling because I’m still not sure what that means. All of them do the basics pretty well but trying to figure out the nuance of what I need and don’t need seems hard. UltraNotes does everything I need and I find myself using more and more because it isn’t overly complicated nor does it try to do a bunch of stuff I don’t need. Maybe I’ll hit a limit, maybe not.

Great app but navigation needs improvement. Suppose I made folders inside a folder or one more layer of folder and if I need to access them then I need to click lot many back back, if you see notion then there you can see that left side navigation panel you can see dropdown subfolders pages titles etc which makes lot easier to navigate and quickly reach out where you want to go. Or may be on more sub navigation panel next to main panel. But I like Notion navigation for pages and folders which makes life lot easier while working on multiple folders or pages.
