2.5 is a polish release. - The connection rail is a full height row again. It keeps the slimmer height only in iPhone landscape, where screen space is tight, and it no longer disappears while Settings is open. - Settings is reorganized. Connections, Dashboards, Operator Roles, and Quick Buttons sit together in one block at the top, and the Privacy Policy moved into About. - Connection lists are alphabetical everywhere: the switcher, Settings, and every picker. The order stays put when you switch between Companions. - The pairing walkthrough links straight to DeckHand on the App Store at the step where the operator needs it. - The old rating popup is gone. CyberDeck now uses Apple's standard rating prompt, at most once a year, and only after real use. A new Rate CyberDeck row under Support opens the App Store review page any time.

2.4 adds Quick Buttons: press a Companion button from Shortcuts, Siri, or the Action button without opening CyberDeck. - Quick Buttons. Name a binding to one Companion button, and it becomes an action in the Shortcuts app and a Siri phrase you can speak. On iPhone 15 Pro and later it can be bound to the Action button. The press goes out over your network with the app closed. No session, no launch. - Pick the button by tapping it. The Quick Button editor shows the live surface. Page through it with the surface's own page keys and tap the button you want. - One Quick Button free. The Full Version removes the limit. - HTTP port per connection. A Quick Button presses through Companion's HTTP API, which is on by default at port 8000. If yours runs on another port, set it under the connection's Advanced section. - What's new sheet. Updating from an earlier version shows a one-time summary of what the release added. Fresh installs never see it. Quick Buttons need Companion's HTTP API turned on and the device on the same network as Companion. For a Lock Screen trigger, use the Shortcuts app's own widget.

2.3 adds Operator Roles and pairing with DeckHand, the new operator app. - Operator Roles (Full Version). Build a role in CyberDeck, a chosen set of buttons and variables, and publish it to someone running DeckHand on their iPad. They get exactly that surface and nothing else. - Pairing over your local network. Hand off a role by QR code or a 6-character code. No accounts, no cloud. - Manage paired operators from the role. See who is connected, push updates when the role changes, and revoke access when the show is over. - First-launch guide. A short walkthrough on first open points out the status rail, saved connections, and where the Full Version features live. - Confirmed against Companion 5. CyberDeck works with Bitfocus Companion 5.0 with no changes. The supported floor stays Companion 4.3. - The pairing QR no longer clips when the device is held sideways. - Clearer dashboard editor advice when Companion's Button Subscriptions API is off: it now points at the setting to turn on, not a Companion update. Pairing needs both apps on this version. If you use DeckHand, update it at the same time so the two can pair.

2.2 redesigns how CyberDeck shows and manages your connection. - Connection status moved from the bottom bar to a rail at the top of the screen: name, address, and live state always visible. A one-time callout points you to its new home after the update. - No more dead ends. Every connection failure now offers a next step: retry, edit the connection, or switch to another. - The screen stays awake while connected, so the surface doesn't go dark mid-show. Settings > Keep Screen Awake turns it off. - Dark is now the default theme. Light and System are still in Settings > Theme. - Sharper button images on iPad. - Restore Purchases now finds v1 grandfathered unlocks more reliably. - Connection editor cleanup: setup goes straight to the editor, and the port field moved behind Advanced (the default almost always works).

Now runs on iOS 17 — previously required iOS 18. Fixed a rare ghost cell that could appear when opening the editor on a connected dashboard. Tapping outside the expanded connection pill now closes it, so you can't accidentally trigger a Companion button under it during a show.

Supports latest version of Companion© (stable v3.2.2 and beta v3.3.0) Create decks of different sizes and import them into CyberDeck. Swipe up, down, left, and right to access buttons outside of the standard grid size. Coming soon: Larger visible grid area on iPad. Known Issues: Does not support grids with negative width or height. Font size style currently not working.
