EVENTS NEAR YOU See what is happening nearby - festivals, shows, markets - and what there is to eat when you get there. Open an event and FoodChaser shows you the trucks, finds and posts around it. LOOK ANYWHERE, NOT JUST WHERE YOU ARE Type a city or a ZIP to see events somewhere else. Useful before a trip: the food around that place shows up too, so you can work out where to eat before you go. Tap the pin to come back to where you are. LINKS THAT OPEN THE APP A foodchaser.io link to a post, a truck, an event or a chaser now opens in the app instead of the browser. ONE LIST OF PLACES Explore used to show food trucks, with a separate "New Eats" button for the spots other chasers had tagged. They are all just places to eat, so they are one list now - nearest first, with whatever is open at the top. Search it by name, or type a city or ZIP to look somewhere else. CHOOSING WHERE YOU ATE ACTUALLY WORKS Adding a place to a post would often come up empty, and turning off "share my location" hid every place there was. Now you get one searchable list of everywhere the app knows about, and it works whether or not you share where you are - because naming the restaurant is not the same as publishing where you are standing. ONE TAP, NOT A LONG PRESS Opening a place from Explore, or picking one for a post, needed you to press and hold. A single tap does it. SMALLER THINGS Tap outside a text box to put the keyboard away, and the return key moves you to the next field. Pull down to refresh a list. The events screens now match the rest of the app.

FoodChaser 2.0 is built around one idea: the best food news comes from other people who eat, not from listings. A PHOTO FEED FOR FOOD The app now opens on a feed of what people near you are actually eating. Posting is two taps - the camera opens first and the caption is optional. Like, save and comment on anything you see. LIVE FINDS Spotted a truck that is not on any map? Report it and it goes live straight away, and the chasers nearby get told. A find stays up while people keep confirming it and quietly expires when they stop, so what you are looking at is what is open right now. FRIENDS, AND WHO SEES WHAT Add friends, and choose the audience for every post you make: everyone, friends only, or just you. YOUR PROFILE Set a profile photo - take one or pick one from your library, then crop it yourself. Level up as you post, report finds and confirm other people's. NOTIFICATIONS WORTH HAVING Get told when food turns up near you, when a truck you follow goes live, and when someone replies to you. Off by default; you choose. PRIVACY AND CONTROL Your location is only ever read while the app is open - never in the background. The privacy policy and terms are readable from inside the app, and you can delete your account and everything in it from your profile, with no email and no forms. SEND IT TO SOMEONE Send any post straight to a friend inside the app, or out through Messages and everywhere else. Search the feed for a dish or a place, and get directions to anything you find. Tap a notification and it opens the thing it is about. YOUR CALL WHO YOU SEE Report anything that does not belong here - a post, a comment, a find or a chaser - from the menu on it. Block someone and you disappear from each other: no posts, no comments, and neither of you can send the other anything. Blocked accounts are listed in your profile, so a block can be undone.
