So first off- LOVE the idea. The app is relatively easy to navigate and after poking around for about 10-20 minutes, you get the gist of everything. I totally understand app developers have to make money somehow, but the fact you can’t reply or dm people without paying a monthly subscription on an app MADE to connect with people is a little silly imo. The app still feels relatively small, and a lot of artists don’t have more than 30 people in the chat room unless they’re huge artists like Taylor Swift. Rather than run people off the app with the idea of a “monthly subscription” I’d love an option for a one time purchase to send and reply to ALL dms, and artist group messages. I’d also love to see some moderation on people trying to hook up/get nudes on here. Other then those few gripes I cannot sing the praises of how amazing this idea is for an app

I got equals a few days ago and I’ve already met a few people and they are so nice. I’ve always had trouble making friends, so when I found this app I knew immediately I had to get it. I’ve never had the best time talking and making friends because of my personality. I kinda have social anxiety so it’s hard to talk to people I don’t know so equals really is a life saver for my social life. I am so grateful for the people that made equals because without it I would still be living my garment life with my two best friends. So thank you so much for making this app and have a good day.

I literally got the app last night. Hadn’t even had it for an hour and it was going so good that I literally bought the monthly premium because I genuinely thought it was a good app and it was worth it because I started to meet like a lot of really cool people who liked the same music as I did, which is the whole reason why I downloaded the app but literally halfway through a conversation I started getting like notifications that my texts weren’t going through and then the app literally shut down and completely logged me out and I still can’t get back into the account. I’ve sent numerous emails to their support group and literally nothing has come back and I tried making a new account cause I used sign in with Apple and I tried making a whole new account and signing in the Google and it won’t even let me do that. Please be aware of this bug happening, since it’s happened to both me and lots of others. It’s a super fun app but this bug really needs to be fixed.

I just started using this app and it’s a pretty decent app, but int thing I hate is that you have to pay money so you can chat with the person that texted you first, and my thing is, most people don’t want an app where you have to pay to talk to people. And I really wish this app would let you at the bare minimum let you talk to people that want to talk to you first, and now that I’m thinking about it, what if all the people that you want to talk to can’t text you back because they don’t want to pay or they don’t have the money? The your stuck on an app that you downloaded to make new friends but now is just useless because the people your wanting to talk to can’t talk back because they either don’t have money to pay the app or they don’t want to and people that want to text you can’t because you don’t want to pay or you don’t have the money to.
