This app has been a great first exposure to Arabic words. Rather than trying to learn sentence structure, alphabet and grammar — this approach simply exposes you to everyday words. It teaches you how the words sound and walks you through how they are spelled in English and Arabic. Daily time commitment is about 20ish minutes and its habit forming. I’m up to 700+ words. I look forward to reaching 1,000 and believe this will help me when I do try to learn grammar and sentence structure. Even the Arabic letters and sounds are becoming more familiar after using this app, even though it’s not the primary focus. Free Palestine!

This app has so many helpful features such as the voice answer feature, repetition of questions, easy-to-use user interface, spelling feature, and the uniquely curated set topics of word categories. There are many more wonderful features of this app, but I won’t list them all here. However, I will say this is the best app that teaches Arabic I’ve found out of the many I’ve downloaded.

Incorrect Arabic

I was excited to try this out since I’d working towards learning my husband’s native language, however after he heard a few of the pronunciations it became clear to him that a lot of it is incorrect. Equivalent of a high school teacher trying to teach a language they don’t actually understand and therefore it’s useless to learn if you are not initially learning the correct grammar and pronunciation (Especially if you are paying for this). I immediately contacted the developers the day I purchased a subscription for a refund and then a follow up email a week later and have not received a response.
