Build timelines with periods, photos and drawings, see them to scale, present them to your class, then test yourself with the order quiz. ExplainTime EDU turns dates into a story you can see. Put events on a timeline, show how far apart they really are, and present it to your class, all in a few taps. Made for students and teachers, it works for any subject that happens in time: history, science, art, literature, or your own family. BUILD YOUR TIMELINE • Add events with a date, a description, photos with captions, and links to learn more • Go back as far as you need: dates before Christ are fully supported • Show only the year, or the full date when the day matters • Turn an event into a period, like a war or an empire, and see it as a bar along the timeline • Sort events into categories such as Politics, Science & Technology or Arts & Culture, and show only the ones you need • Draw with Apple Pencil or your finger when a sketch explains it better SEE THE DISTANCE IN TIME • Switch between evenly spaced events and a timeline drawn to scale • Add year markers every 1 to 1,000 years • Zoom in and out, and jump around with the overview map • Search for any event and go straight to it • On iPhone held upright, the timeline runs from top to bottom SET THE SCENE • Choose from 19 backgrounds inspired by history, from Prehistory and Ancient Rome to the Space Age • Or describe your own with Image Playground on supported devices PRESENT AND STUDY • Present your timeline full screen, one event per slide • Test yourself with the order quiz: drag the events into the right order and see your score • Get event ideas for any topic with Apple Intelligence on supported devices, then check them and add the ones you want SHARE AND HAND IN • Export your timeline as an image or a multi-page PDF • Hand in assignments from Schoolwork, with your progress reported to your teacher • Drag events between timelines, or drop photos to start a new event • Timelines are documents you keep in Files or iCloud Drive, with thumbnails in Files and Finder ON EVERY DEVICE ExplainTime EDU runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro. On Mac, use the menu bar and keyboard shortcuts. On Apple Vision Pro, see your timeline in 3D around you. Built with accessibility in mind, with VoiceOver support and Reduce Motion respected. Your timelines stay on your devices and in your own iCloud.
