New: rich text editor, Siri capture, widgets, and optional audio saving. Turn your voice into clean, organized notes, privately on your iPhone.
Brain Dump is a voice-first notes app that converts speech into clean, structured notes. Unlike traditional voice recorders or journaling apps that give you raw audio or walls of unformatted text, Brain Dump organizes your thoughts automatically.
How it works:
- Tap record and speak naturally
- Brain Dump transcribes and organizes your voice into notes
- Get headings, bullet points, and clean formatting
- Export/share anywhere
Why people choose Brain Dump:
- Capture ideas on walks, commutes, or between tasks
- Voice journaling that produces notes you can actually use
- No cognitive overhead - just speak and get structured output
- On-device transcription (works offline once a model is downloaded)
Great for:
- Daily voice journaling with structured output
- Capturing ideas and thoughts on the go
- Drafting blog posts, meeting notes, or content
- Anyone who thinks faster than they type

This has significantly helped my productivity. When I am at my desk and I want to take quick notes and have to write things down, I just end up procrastinating and ends up never happening.Braindump has significantly reduced the friction here, and now I take a lot more notes. I have a lot more items in my life well documented. This is extremely helpful, I am so glad I found it.
Exceptional productivity tool!

Fantastic app that has a smooth workflow.I just dictate my rambling thoughts and the app helps me orgainse it in a coherent logical manner, be it for meeting notes, or project ideas. The workflow is more conducive to productivity compared to just using ChatGPT. Using plain ChatGPT is like running barefoot, using this is like running with Usain Bolt's sneakers on.The subscription is a small price to pay for such a wonderful productivity tool.
Nothing modest about the price

The “modest” subscription fee is $3 PER WEEK. Or pay upfront for a year to a brand new app with no history of updates and no reviews for the low low price of $69. Oh yes, pay between $69 and $156 every single year for an app that uses the same transcription function built into your Mac or iPhone. And the “rewrite” feature can be accomplished with Chat GPT, for free. I’m not opposed to supporting small developers but when did they get so greedy, and for such a simple app that simply sits on top of existing APIs made by others.

Product was never priced this high in its history. Please email me support@voicebraindump.com if you are a student/have special financial requirements. I am happy to provide free access on an on need basis. Also chatgpt free usage means OpenAI uses your data for training which is not feasible for users who are lawyers, doctors, corporate and business users and even private journaling. Any thoughts?
not free

I’m absolutely fine with a paid service, but don’t advertise it as free. there was a free trial where you could cancel within the week. However, I was unable to find any way to click cancel In my free week. I do not want to pay close to $50 for this service. I can use my Notes app for that this might be good for people who want privacy I don’t need that. I really would like to learn how my free trial
Developer Response
hi Geckotoes, Sorry for the bad experience. Just clarifying- 1. Every subscription app Is built like this. This is how apple mandates developers build apps and all guidelines were followed to the dot. The price is also listed in the description. You also have to click on a big blue button to subscribe to be charged, with clearly written copy. This is also after 4 weeks of free trial and an additional 7 week free trial ramp up. 2. Emailed user detailed instructions on cancelling subscriptions(per apple developers can't see, access or cancel subscriptions). 3. As an indie developer offered to pay back full amount incase they incurred charges directly, if they can't work with apple. 4. The app has some real ongoing costs on usage, I have to charge to keep it sustainable. Multiple email follow ups. No response yet. y
Bug fixes and stability improvements.
